I don't think it's fair that although I pay the same amount as any American user would, I'm still limited to what I can watch. I'm talking about shows like Madoka, Haruhi Suzumiya, Angel Beats, all which are unavailable where I am, Ireland.

Why is it that Americans get them for the same price we pay? And do WE get any exclusives?

I just don't understand how although I pay the same amount, you can't afford to pay for the licensing here...

Actually they get it cheaper if you work out the exchange rates. It is infurating though that there are so many good back catalogue titles on here that I simply cant watch, its not even like I can buy most of them (since noone lisences anything for the UK), eg were only just getting the first part of steins gate at the end of summer.

I would like to see al ittle price reduction for us, or CR to do more to get anime for more of the world, Europe specifically

The only reason I have a premium membership atm is so I can watch on the Xbox, but I'd be willing to pay a premium membership price for all the anime the Americans get, just without the drama.

It's unfair, it really is :/

It's because it isn't as simple as how much you pay. It's more to do with how many subscribers there are in Ireland and how much everyone from Ireland pays that determines how much content you get. The more viewers/subscribers there are from a country, the cheaper the cost is to Crunchyroll per view (sort of, it's more complex than this), meaning that more money is left over to license more shows. The US has a lot of viewers/subscribers so they can afford to license more for them. In Ireland there aren't a lot of viewers/subscribers, so the costs per view are higher (for various reasons), meaning they can't afford to license as much or Crunchyroll would go out of business. This is simplifying it a bit but you get the idea. Crunchyroll already gets you as much as they can.

The only way for it to improve for Ireland is for either more people in Ireland to subscribe or if they increased the price for Ireland.

Also regarding Madoka, Haruhi and Angel Beats: these were all catalogue titles. They were sub-licensed from other companies in the US, which is why they aren't available in Ireland. If the US company doesn't have the rights for Ireland, they can't easily license it for Ireland. Also in many cases the shows were already licensed in Ireland when Crunchyroll got them. UK anime companies release anime in Ireland don't they? Haruhi Suzumiya S1 is licensed by Beez, and Haruhi Suzumiya S2 + Movie, Madoka and Angel Beats are licensed by Manga Entertainment.

Also some countries other than the US do get exclusives, although not often. It seems that France has a bunch of exclusives.

The UK tends to get the most shows through Crunchyroll in all of Europe. We're lucky we get as much as we do. A price decrease would only mean we would get even less.

I mean, I am willing to pay MORE to get the shows that America gets, I'm willing to pay between 14 and 17 euro for an anime membership (with Xbox) instead of 9 for a premium membership (Only because I want the anime on Xbox).
