Hey all, new user (and anime fan) here!

I tend to write a lot of fluff so I'll keep it simple: Is it legal to bypass region locks? Ethically I'm paying CR and anime for their hard work and I'm sure all CR subscriptions technically cover all content and not just your own regions'.

A couple of other questions while I'm in this topic:
1. Any legal streams (dub or sub) of Digimon Frontier or Savers/Data Squad? I know CR has 02/Tamers/Xros Wars covered but I can't seem to find anything on the other 3.
2. Any recommendations? I've enjoyed the first 5 episodes of Hunter x Hunter, and out of the 3 series of Digimon I've seen Tamers > Adventure > Faeces > 02. Death Note was also pretty good (I read the manga first).

Thanks for any help.

No. It is not legal to bypass region locks. On a worldwide level, it's an issue that is viewed as an "inconvenience" to consumers, but it is not getting attention among politicians, atm. In other words...it's not a burning issue and there isn't much drive to change it, but there are a few people aware of the problems at the WTO. Personally, I think it'll change in the near future. It's dumb to begin with.

Actually, you're not. You're paying for CR content that is legally available in your region. It's part of the agreement you sign when you become a member. You're not paying for to view ALL content. Before you signed up, you should have read the FAQ:

Why are some Titles not available in my country? (http://www.crunchyroll.com/help#4)
While we try to get worldwide availability for all of our titles, due to the vagaries of licensing restrictions we cannot promise that every single title released on Crunchyroll will be available in all countries. Detailed territorial restrictions are displayed on each video page. We are continuously asking for more rights for more regions. Please be patient and check back for more updates! For a complete list of what is currently available in your area, please check out our Anime and Drama lists.

Hope some of that helps. Cheers.

Thanks for the answer.

I took that to mean I'm buying a crate of 10 DVDs but 3 of them are padlocked. So what I'm saying is CR have given me 10 DVDs and are happy to let me watch all 10, but police won't give me the padlock keys.

Did I interpret wrong?
