As individuals we are all inherently selfish.
You can look out for yourself, and do things for yourself without being a piece of shit.
Caring about everyone but yourself is a waste.

That people don't always agree with or go by your beliefs, ideas and opinions. Furthermore, that you can't always make others do so (agree with your beliefs/ideas/opinions and go by them) willingly.

Correct grammar, if one more person uses the wrong spelling of "their, there or they're" I'm going to lose it.

Their their, no need to get all worked up about it! They're are more pressing issues going on in the world. ^-^

♦ To be more kind, respectful, polite and empathetic. Give the term humanity meaning for once.
♦ Be more of a critical and logical thinker; become more attentive and observant to people and your surroundings.
♦ Stop judging and ridiculing, especially if you judge without valid facts, judging without being considerate of thinking what that individual went through, or judging because you simply dislike that individual's appearance sexuality, etc. People need to cease making fun of others for either wanting to wear something they enjoy or going through situations they cannot control or struggling with.
♦ Learn some life skills (cooking, sewing, gardening, etc.) so you'll learn to no be codependent on someone taking care of you.
♦ Make education a pivotal priority instead of sex, sports, idiocy, reality shows and other crap; learn to spell and use correct grammar.
♦ Learn to agree to disagree since everyone has different viewpoints and it is wrong to force someone to agree with mainly yours.
♦ Learn to plan ahead, create a backup plan in case the first one does not follow through.
♦ Don't have children if you're not financially or mentally prepared or lack patience.
♦ Stop going to war since it never solve problems, it creates more.
♦ Not let money or unhealthy addictions rule your life.
♦ Enjoy your life more and take care of yourself better.
♦ To let go of what is holding our race back from actually evolving (bigotry, apathy, sexism, discrimination etc.)

I think that the most important thing for everyone to learn is: Where do things come from.

My father was in the mining/smelting industry and I grew up around farmland. I learned where most things came from as a child and it has shaped my world view dramatically.

It is easy to say "I want" when you don't know the price. It is easy to say, "the GOVERNMENT should do so-and-so." when you don't understand where government gets its resources. It is easy to say "buy a green car" when you have no idea how much environmental impact the manufacture of that car will have. It is easy to say, "organic farming is better" when you don't know where the synthetic fertilizers come from and don't realize how much land is required. It is easy to suggest "biodiesel" when you have no idea where it comes from. It is easy to vote for a tax change when you have no idea how it will effect everything else. It is easy to proudly shout, "BUY AMERICAN!" when you don't know that 90% of the materials in your phone come from overseas. It is easy to do a lot of wrong when you don't know where things come from.

Knowing the price of things, where they come from, how they are shipped, and who they are made by changes one's world view. People tend to be a lot less rude when they understand that they NEED that farmer, trucker, rancher, miner, programmer, banker etc. to go about their daily lives. People tend to think farther ahead when they realize that changing county property tax could increase the prices in their grocery stores miles away. When we understand where things come from, we are able to make better informed choices in our daily lives.

How many people helped you to brush your teeth this morning? If you answered no one, you are wrong. It takes around 40,000 (an educated guess, not a quoted figure) people to make city water come out of your tap. There were construction workers, environmentalists, plumbers, pipe fitters, electricians, technicians, engineers, administrative staff PLUS all the people who designed and built their equipment PLUS the people who mined, refined and shipped the needed raw materials.

Even if everyone did learn to use common sense, how to love, how to respect others, etc, that does not guarantee that they will use what they learned into everyday life.

Sure, it would be great if everyone learned those kind of things, but it means nothing if they don't use that knowledge.

That the hero's name is Link, NOT ZELDA!

Had to explain this to my 13 year old sister a couple days ago. Then again, she didn't know what Pong was either. It's a nightmare explaining all the Wreck It Ralph references to her:/
