My tap water comes from a lake, but Iowa has really great filtration due to the high level of run off from farms. The river water does taste different though, it depends on the faucet mostly what the water tastes like though.

If I'm thirsty, I would.

My tap water is our own well-water so I have no problem drinking it.

At times when I'm desperate and forget to by water or it's to late and I finished it all and I'm dying of thirst I'm like "screw this " and I drink it. But usually I stock up quite a bit in bottled water . Sometimes I do occasionally slip a drink from the sink when I'm done brushing my teeth from time to time or when I get to lazy to go all the way downstairs to get a bottle

Living in rainy old Washington, we have pretty decent water. Some neighboring towns use lake water, some use river water, and in my area we get our water from a pretty clean aquifer (ground water). It's fairly highly rated, though there are times when more chlorine gets added than we'd prefer.

That being said, I still chose the second choice because I prefer to filter all of my drinking water before consumption. My brita pitcher gets a lot of use. However if need be I wouldn't hesitate to drink water straight from the tap.

It depends on where I am. The water where I used to live isn't so bad, the water here in nyc is effin terrible.

Definitely, my city supposedly has better water quality for a city of its size, I must say it is quite tasty.
