None of the notifications dissapear. I can't even accept or decline group invites or friend requests. Everything else is fine, and I was wondering if there was a problem with the buttons or something. Any help would be much appreciated!

Here's a simple fix, but it works a lot, have you tried clearing out your cookies/cache? Sometimes that causes problems similar to this.

You are using IE. Hit F12 and change the document mode to IE 9 standards, then everything should work.
