If you think the animation in this is bad how do you watch 99.99% of anime?

So what you're saying is that 99% of the anime today has bad animations? :P

Imo, much less than 90% of anime today have bad animations.

I find myself liking this series for the characters and the story. But I do NOT like the animation, because it looks like what it is... a product of a prepackaged animation software suite. It has all the finesse of a B-52 bomber. If you're going to do a CGI, do your own coding, or at the VERY least use a top-end program, not something you feel the need to put a WAY too obvious ad for in the end creds.

Ok, rant concluded. Now for the good stuff. I LOVE the interaction between Ruby and Weiss. That whole fire and gasoline vibe will be a boatload of fun to watch. And whoever pegged Jeane as Crouching Awkward Hidden Badass probably has that right. I'm expecting some good stuff from him. Yang is a SCREAM. Her "Nailed it" in ep. 5 was perfect. And I want to see now Blake fits in with the rest of the gang. But again I'm expecting big things from her too. And rarely to I find things very funny, but I've LOL'ed at this series way more than once.

Sooooo... at the end of the day, I'm gonna keep watching this series for what I like, and hold my nose for what I don't like.

I think I can do that.

No, but most anime arent as well animated as RWBY is. Im not a fan of it but I can atleast accept that, therfor him saying theres 'literally nothing good about it' is clearly bullshit

Hmm, the animations must've become more fluid and not laggy/jaggy or whatever after ep 1 then.
Most animes I've seen doesn't lag in the animations, it's all fluid movements. Actually, I've never seen anime with laggy animations, and I've seen 440 diffrent animes

This isn't bad if you like 1970s crap. It has a good story line, but come on I've seen better stuff come out of a trade school video class.

I haven't seen all the episodes yet but I like what I have seen so far. While I find the animation a little distracting because it reminds me of a cut scene in a video game (a game I would very much like to play), I do think it is very well done for what it is. The voice acting/casting is hit or miss and defiantly not on the same level as most English dubs of modern anime show; however the writing, action, and music are well done.

You certainly have every right to not like something, but you should at least know that what you don't like are not "drawings" at all, but a style of computer-generated animation called Machinima, which is something created using a graphics engine typically more often used for video games. What's ground-breaking here is that Monty created this particular engine just for the purpose of producing animation.

i know, im saying from the pictures it looked like it could be drawings and if that was the case, those are some filthy drawings! but it wasnt. it was some low quality 3D messsss :I

I don't know why, but I actually really like the animation. The trailer animation was better than the actual show though.

So only large studios with equally large budgets should even attempt to create animated works? I can't say I agree with that sentiment. At all.

This show is nothing short of amazing. My 5 year old has watched it from start to finish 3 TIMES in two days.

Besides, there's not much that doesn't come out of Texas and isn't awesome.

Well yesterday i gave it a try, IMO is a great show, it has a good plot (so far that is), good animation (not the best out there, but for a web series it has great potential), the music is what really sold on the series, it has great music that really suits the animation, i cant stop listening to the opening, it is really funny, and the best thing, is that they really dont force it, it feels so natural! great show so far and im really glad im watching it ^^

Not really a fan of overtly CG animation, but they seem to pull it off okay. The voice acting is okay, music is great.

Probably when they need a British guy. I know they cast him for some roles in Red vs. Blue
