And how are you supposed to manage every single person in the Universe? That's going to be really hard, man.

Nah, it's not that difficult to manage people. Easy as pie actually.

But it always backfires eventually.

To a degree, but managing people doesn't have to completely fail. Set backs are inevitable because people aren't static. A good manager always remembers that. As long as you're flexible, everything will workout fine. Great actually.

Friends let friends fail.

You know, you can create a floating nation in international waters with your own rules and regulations. Some "investors" are currently planning a business haven off the coast of LA, for secrecy and tax evasion, that is within a helicopter ride from shore.

Nah. I lack the leadership skills to successfully rule the world. Plus, I don't want to carry the burden of being responsible for 7 billion people.

I wouldn't want to rule openly. I would rather have people run the world for me and make most decisions on their own leaving only the really big ones for me alone to decide from the shadows. I wouldn't be opposed to serving directly under the ruler of the world though. I would of course require a relatively easy job though if I am not making the decisions myself.

If you can create an infrastructure much like the open market but used only to manage natural resources maybe you could control the world

I wouldn't mind being ruler/leader of a prominent nation, but not the world. The whole entire world is just to many disparate nations and societies. It's way too much responsibility for any one person and there would be no way to keep it together.

“Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.”
-George Orewell

That is why I want to rule the world. I want that power just for sake of having it.

No, though I've been told by many I'd be good for leadership, and those who where below me in the past said I did a great job, however. Managing large amounts of people is by no means easy. It becomes harder to help people as individuals, more so with each person you are over. I don't like being over large amounts of people for that reason.

I would only take the position if there was no other option
