What is your story?
|
Some time ago, I was hanging around cool peeps at a protest and a Psych major asked me this question.
What is your story? The (my name) story? At first I could not answer, dumbstruck by my discovered ineptness toward such a question. I'd never really thought about it. I knew much of what I did, and what I liked to do, but realized I had not fully asked myself just who I am and why I do all the things that I do. It took me, honestly, 3 months to come up with an answer, and it's still incomplete. If you were in a novel, how would it go? What would be the opening, the lead-up, and the current or potential climax climax of you. What kind of novel would you be? Would any audience want to read it? Would you be satisfied with your own book so far? :) Edit: Forgot to mention I'll add my story in time. I've got a few things to do right now. |

You forget, so busy going from A to Z, that there's 24 letters in between...

Well, I would have to say it hasn't even started. I'm still in high school so life is just a routine.
I think it will start when I enter College/University. What type of book exactly? i guess slice of life and comedy. The ending will be a bang >:D Maybe some people may read it lol idk |

Hm... that's a hard question
Seeing I'm only in High-school, I have a long ways to go still But, I would want to make my book alot of everything, including my imagination Id like to go doing something meaningful, like protecting my family or friends |

I want everyone here to try as hard as possible NOT to do the following (right now and for the rest of your life):
When someone asks you about yourself, don't say "Well I work at..." or "I do [blah] for a living..." It brings me down when I'm introduced to people and the second thing out of their mouth is "Yeah I develop software" or "I repair transmissions on vehicles" or just whatever their job is. Not to get all Fight Club-y, but you are not your job. Sorry, I guess I got waaaay off topic from the initial post. It's just the idea of one's story reminded me of how many people I know whose story is just the 9-5 job they struggle with every day. Less often do I hear people talk about their hobbies related to music, anime, art, cooking, whatever. Then again, I get just as depressed when their entire life story consists of all the things their kid does. |

I'd start in the middle with a random moment and bounce around all over the place to symbolize my disjointed life. Honestly you could make an inspirational Lifetime movie about my life up to this point, which i'd never watch because who wants to see that?

If I had a type it'd be you, fortunately I don't have a type so please stop.

People think my job is something little kids do so I don't like mentioning it. |

in the last 2~3 years in very very short words, to much drama for my own liking, even worse so in the last year. Other than that a normal life, I spend my days trying improve others lives and days around myself, and friends, and their friends
Edit: I've been working as a grocer so far I enjoy my job and co workers. The only thing I've found challenging is time for the little things since I've been working far more than when I started. |

A long boring one... but I can assure you the ending would be a good one.

Is this supposed to be our life story, or a story that we ourselves create with our own imagination?

It's a long one, but here it goes:
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Now this is the story all about how My life got flipped, turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air In west Philadelphia born and raised On the playground where I spent most of my days Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school When a couple of guys, they were up to no good Started making trouble in my neighbourhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air" I whistled for a cab and when it came near the License plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Bel-air! I pulled up to a house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homes smell you later!" Looked at my kingdom I was finally there To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-air |
