My hope in this topic was to induce the same feelings such a concept induced unto me. It is truly the path toward self-fulfillment, to think of your story and make sure it's something you'd look at and say "Hey, that's interesting." You may not even think it and may be unable to see it, but I'm sure even what might be seen as the "dullest" of lives would tell a great story that all could learn a lesson from.

What did this thread make you think of? What first came to mind when you thought of your own story?

The "you" story is written every day. Your ink is limited, so don't waste too much!

its called shoki. been developing it for 2 years. my art isnt good enough to make a comic yet but im almost there.

A plague breaks out in the modern world, making people lose their minds and form groups of cults/ gangs. the groups have bloody wars against each other. The only people who arent affected by this plague are those who already have a mental disorders. Some of these people have simply just suffered from major cases of depression or anxiety but others are genuinely dangerous. the plague cannot infect their brain simply because their mental instability serves as an immunity. In this messed up world the people who were looked down upon and abused in mental facilities for hundreds of years become the most sane people on the planet and are forced to fight for survival against the people who walked the earth normally before the infection broke out. Of course among these people groups and alliances form and enemies are made.

I hope to make this into a comic one day and if im lucky create a couple minutes worth of animation relating to my story.

heres a small illustration i did of the main character, echo

That story honestly sounds super cool and your art looks good enough to make a comic to me

My life story is a very boring one but a little bit like the curious case of Benjamin Button (and my name is Benjamin), in regards to the fact that things seem to regress for me. I started out as a: happy, confident, extroverted child (even though my childhood wasn't very good) and become more: unhappy, insecure and introverted. Well the story is not over yet so hopefully it will start getting more exciting and happier, well I'm making an effort to change it anyway.

Shadorai, I see your status and thought the same thing to be honest. Not that I'll be like I was (and oh was I ever into it, lol), but I've thought the same. I used to enjoy it tons, but somewhere along the lines I am guessing the social humiliation and a desire to be a "grown up" made me push it away. The games are fun and it's a nice pace change from certain things these days.

Lol, sweetcheek Care to explain?

So, there was this a goody-two-shoes boy that grew up remaining pretty innocent and never trying to get in trouble. Heck, he didn't even find out that Santa wasn't real until like 10; the birds and the bees? Chh, not until he was at least 13. This boy grew up pretty shy, but he still made good friends - typically the other "social rejects".
In high school, he kept with his new friends that never partied or drank. He tried football - was pretty good at it because he was already over 6' feet tall, but gave it up because "he didn't like hurting people." Instead he joined clubs with his group of friends, and honestly still had a great time.
This continued until Junior year of high school when he finally got a girl friend - a 5-foot-nothing Chinese girl (compared to him, now 6 foot 3 inches). Honestly, they were an odd couple; but they helped each other get out of their comfort zones and actually start living life - you can't if you keep yourself in a secluded box. He started taking risks and even disobeying his parents.
Time came when the boy and his girlfriend had to part ways - they were going to college thousands of miles away. However, after seeing the pointlessness of a secluded life, the boy wasn't going to go back. He ended up joining a professional fraternity in college and started actually doing things that he could laugh about in the future. Sure, some of it probably was pretty stupid, but those commonly are the best memories - especially if you're friends are with you (especially if they can get you out of any trouble you just got yourself into, haha). The boy is still studying to be an engineer and doing pretty well at it, but he also isn't staying inside his little box. He's taking some risks and experiencing life. He understands that his somewhat sheltered past made him into the man he is today, but at the same time he wishes he could have made a few more memories he could laugh at. But, better late than never.
(If any of you actually read my probably boring "life story", I apologize if I sound like a dumbass bro partier. I don't do anything retarded, but I do take some risks nowadays, and feel like I'm living a more meaningful life.)
