Really who cares? What concerns two consenting adults Is nobody's business but their own.

If one is in danger of breaking the law, I'd saw that gap is too wide. Otherwise, I don't think there should be a limit. Though it's fictitious, Jay and Gloria from Modern Family are one of my favorite couples. I'm not sure how I felt about the pairing at first, but they're actually a very sweet couple.

If a real couple can vibe with each other as well as they do (despite the age difference), I don't see why their being together would be an issue.

For example, if you're 30 years old, the formula would be (30/2)+7, or 22, meaning a 30 year old can date someone as young as 22, and a 22 year old can date someone as old as 30

so being 19 I can date a 16 year old?
even though doing so can cause me in a great deal of trouble with their parents and possibly the law if the parents claim rape?

Wherever rounding is involved, you round up. US law states that when one person is below 18 and one above 18 is that there can't be more than a 2 year difference. You can date a 17 year old with no creepy or legal repercussions. Her parents might be another matter, but there won't be any statutory rape issues. Besides that, a lot of places have their age of consent set at 16. 18 is just the federal maximum.

Well a minor and an adult is a different story. Take for instance you and me if we were to date 22+ years olds as minors. Not wise.

I think it is more dependent on the intentions of both parties involved rather than age.

Well it's hard to say for sure I mean everyone has a different opinion. But for me the gap 1-5 years is ideal.

I find it creepy dating older people. If they're like 23 and the person you dating is 36. Creepy! That's the thingI don't talk to freshmen or sophomore. Either juniors or senior. And who's younger than me with 2 months or 3 months. I dated a girl who's born in July and I was born in Jan. she's older than me like 7 months. I'm okay with it. Just for me but for me who likes that stuff. Then it's okay for them. For me I don't care about people dating but for me no way.

My current girlfriend is 31. Im 25. She says im mature for my age so I guess its a personal thing. Every person is different regardless of age. Age doesnt really play a huge role for me...although I prefer older women, but thats just a preference. In the long run it comes down to how compatible you are.

i hate it when the guys are too old but that's my opinion for myself. i don't care about the rest of you. altho sometimes i couldn't help but ridicule those relationships where the guys are way too old for the girls. but then it's their will.

depends on the maturity, I sorta have an age limit for myself, I refuse to date anyone younger then me and he cant be more then 10 years older then me, I may have father issues, but not bad enough to want a man old enough to be my father >_<

Dated a senior when i was a fresh man in highschool, then I dated a 22 year old waitress a year later. Age is just a number.
