yeah, both of those discriptions kinda go hand in hand

well what u find is book smart people have worse common sense than less academically able people. like im waaaay smarter than my friend when it comes to school work, but he would be smarter than me in terms of common sense (i have absolutely no common sense!!!)

i know this, but if someone gets A's then fucks it up because they don't want to try etc then they don't have much common sense either

i dont understand. what do u mean they get A's then screw it up? o wait do u mean they can get A's if they try but then dont work so they fail? are they not just wasters (or slackers)? i dont think thats a case of lack of common sense, more just plain laziness

if you can make a better future for yourself and don't...doesn't really make sense to me. common sense is just something the majority of people deem sensible and people with wasted ability for whatever reason isn't very sensible.

i'm sure people like that don't see it that way and hence why they a devoid of common sense

yeah, one is a person who has a lot of potential and throws it away and the other is the person who seems like an idiot but can be surprisingly awesome

realistically, smart dumb.

lots of things depends on grads, other types of intelligences can't exactly be weighted and put on paper.

I'm definetly a dumb-smart person, simply because I use commonsense when it comes to everything......but I'm smart though I just don't like putting that much effort into most stuff..........and I'm lazy.

I don't think there are many "Smart-dumb" people in existence. If they're able to understand and learn things provided by education, they have enough knowledge to know what to do and not to do. But on the other hand, if you're talking about smart A-grade people who are a little clumsy or seem kinda clueless, it has potential to be quite cute =3. (reminds me of Lucky Star)

Dumb-smart people, from the OP post, doesn't actually make sense but anyway.
If it's someone who acts a bit stupid, but is actually smart and knows whats going on, and what they're doing, it can be all right..to an extent. Admittedly, I used to be like that (back in the day when I was yoooouuunngg), and it got everyone laughing but it kinda got out of hand.

Then we all grew up.
