I've played many Visual Novels and I see a lot of potential. Most of what I have played have a really good plot and beautiful endings.
I just recently played Edelweiss, and it definitely deserves an anime adaptaiton

I haven't played any VN's, where would I have to go to play them? I only have a PC :/

It be great to have Deardrops and Kira-Kira also Purely: Looks up into our narrow sky as anime adaptions.

Wouldn't this be more appropriate if put in the Video Game section?

There are some off-the-wall VNs which will almost certainly not get any sort of adaptation... even if they would potentially shake up and improve fandom. To be more specific, I don't expect that anyone will create an animated version of the following:

* Moacube's indie VN Cinders
* Crimsoness (aka Shakunetsu Hime), a freeware VN
* Ewe of the Falklands
* Ibn al-Nafis, made by Ramadan Soft

The widest variety of visual novels in English are on computers. Yes, that includes some of the best and some of the worst, and everything from commercially released products to no-budget freeware.

That said, I recommend trying freeware first before spending money on anything. If you're looking for a good place to start looking for recommendations, do not browse the Visual Novel Database just yet... it's huge and not newbie-friendly. You will probably benefit by looking through the Lemma Soft forums first, and by exploring the /visualnovels/ sub-Reddit.

I definitely 2nd Planetarian & Deardrops. Though rather than "an anime adaption", I'd specify for "a good anime adaption"
(Not all adaptations live up to the Visual Novels, unfortunately. )

Some freewares like True Remembrance & Narcissu could become a good anime as well, i think...
