i don't think they even broadcast in 1080p its probably just a lie to look better

classic placebo effect... hmm could be but 1080 runs at a slower frame-rate on my computer which ultimatly makes the 720 look better imho...

i think its a legitimate attempt at 1080 but it just doesnt work for me so there has to be something different about it...

It's really only there for the benefit of those with really large televisions. Since Anime is native to 720p, you're only getting 1080p subtitles, which you do need when watching on a large screen to avoid blur.

I don't lag with 1080p. Even if new popular anime episodes comes out. I call this a troll unless crunchyroll is getting DDOS on all of their server which I high doubt that'll ever happen. @OP, nice spec you got there, plz OC your i7 to 4GHZ. I can't stand computers that aren't OCed to their max limits and potentials.

The guy above you is wrong. 1080p and 720p subtitles are nearly the same. It really depends on your monitor that can support up to 1080p. For example: I have 1600x900 resolution monitor. It means the max output I'll get is 900p. If I choose 1080p, I won't be able to view all of it since my monitor is 900p(1600x180=????pixels in total). Crunchyroll doesn't do upscale. That's just wrong. Everything depends on the producers, if they did a nice job and clean up for the anime, it'll look better. Also, if you have a very large T.V, the PPI is going to be crap if you get too close. Hope you read everything what I typed because this took forever and please correct me if I have any grammar mistakes because I'm tired as hell.

Having 100MBit doesn't mean you actually have a 100MBit path to the where the content is. I'm usually a bit leery of any cable company based ISPs. They are known to traffic shape high bandwidth services like streaming video services. The speed check test is irrelevant for the most part. It just measures traffic to the closest server to the person running it. ISPs also tend to juice the traffic shaping to make speed check numbers look better. CR uses Limelight Networks for video, which is a network that spans 80 countries. So it isn't a matter of just fixing a server bro.

For some time now, the CDN for Flash video has been Akamai, but Limelight is still used for device streams (i.e, iOS, Android, Roku, etc.).

Anime isn't originally broadcasted in 1080p in any way and causes issues when trying to watch it at the rate. Also, watching it mid-day during the weekend is probably the time when CR is used the most forcing the servers to be overloaded while you're trying to watch at such a high rate. Been a known fact for awhile now. So...... it really has nothing to do with your computer you seem to be bragging about.... bro.

P.S. You should probably redact (or cover up if you don't know what that word means) your windows product key before you post a screenshot of it on the web. It's at the bottom of your *cough* amazing *cough* computer specs screenshot. Consider editing or completely removing the photo. For spending so much of your time to put those screenshots up, paying $100 a month for your internet, and knowing enough to get a "custom super computer", that is a seriously dumb mistake. While I'm at it, I have an i7-3770k as well, and while it is an amazing processor for gaming, it is nowhere near what I would consider a "super computer" processor at this point.

Also, he's right. your computer's potential is much higher than what you're using it at. Just make sure you have a little extra cooling on that CPU. It doesn't have huge OC issues, but it never hurts to be on the safe side when OC'ing.

FIX YOUR SITE BROS!!!!!

Bro, I only have 30 mbps down and I can stream at 1080p flawlessly at anytime. There are other issues that need to be fixed, not saying that it is your computer's problems.

Please use the Contact Us link below and we will try our best to help you with the issue.
