All my tats are simple black. I have a large tribal design on my lower back, with a sun in the center of it. I also have three interlocking gears arching over each breast. I want more ink, but I'm uncertain as to what. I'm considering a salamander between my shoulder blades. I'm a little partial to this guy, although he's shaped more like a whiptail lizard than a salamander.

I have one tattoo and plan to get more soon (after I pay off my debts). The one I currently have is for my son who passed away. It's of his stuffed animal duck with his name and his years of life.

Here's a photo:

Other tattoos I want to get is a baby black wolf with red bandages falling off of it with blue eyes (this tattoo was originally the idea for my son for his courageous fights. he was disabled). I plan to also get something to dedicate for my grandparents, my love for anime and my life struggles.

They're only trashy if you get a "tramp-stamp" (lower back). Besides that, properly designed tattoos on women are quite beautiful. Most of them are better than what men usually choose.

Tattoos can be a lifetime commitment so choose wisely.

I want a tattoo like my dad's. He has it on his right arm, but I would like mine between my shoulder blades and have it abit larger. The tattoo is a castle on fire and the grim reaper is on his horse at the enterance of the castle.

The thing about it is, he just doesn't want me to get one. He said he had enough tats on him for the both of us. Lol. I respect his opinion. I would never get a tramp stamp. I want a silver fox with cherry blossoms on my right shoulder.

The pain you think it will be is not as bad as it actually looks like sometimes yes it can be a tiny bit painful at first for maybe like the first 3-10 minutes but after that your arm kind of goes numb to the feeling it has a heat sensation from the gun and kind of like an electric shock (very very tiny voltage feeling) but it does not hurt as bad as you think it does I have very little tolerance for pain and was able to handle the tattoo without being in pain or being bothered by it and got it on the boniest part of my arm

That doesn't sound too bad after all.

Not bad at all personally I think that getting a tattoo is an awesome experience and if you go into a tattoo parlor and ask a artist if you can watch them work sometime if the other client doesnt mind so you can get a feel for what is done in the process and can be sure that it is what you want 100% what you dont wanna do is what I did before I got my tattoo is watched tattoo ink masters and tattoo nightmare lol (but i also googled it many times and searched hundreds of pictures before I came upon one that as soon as I saw it I had to have it. Do your research first to ensure that it is what you want it took me around 9-10 years to be sure that I wanted to get a tattoo and what I wanted to get and on Jan 4th 2013 (24yrs old) I got my first tattoo and I still love the tattoo and will always be my favorite because it is the one that I simply had to have as soon as I saw the picture I did the research watched shows to try and get a feel of the process and watched videos on youtube as well. if you want as well your tattoo artist usually allows you to listen to music or watch a video or something while you are getting the tattoo to distract yourself if that is what you need

That's stupid. What makes the lower back tattoos trashy? They are easy to cover up when you need to look professional, and they look great when it's time to show them off.

That's a very touching story of how you got your tattoo, really.

I want a tattoo, but my parents would not approve :/

Do what I did when I was 18... Just go for it.. When I got home, they couldn't really do anything because it's already there. Unless your parents are the kind who'll disown you and kick you out. Then maybe wait until you're on your own. Lol..

Who would give advice like this? People who have no business giving other people advice.

Tattoos arent going anywhere. Wait till the bills have your name on em, then go get your tattoos.

I do not know if I do, I guess I am kind of young to know, but if something extreme happens in my life, good or bad then I would not mind getting a tattoo. But who knows, my mind might change.

My mother does have one in Mandarin characters that represents RN for when she graduated nursing school.

As you can see I have a tattoo!!

I have three self imposed rules to when you get one

1. Design it yourself !
2. Make sure it is something you will be proud of when you either die the day after you get it or if your 90 years old.
3. Have it in a place you can hide it if it may offend or you don't want everyone to know about it.. hehe

Problem solved

^ Bro, you're from NZ. Where's your Maori tattoo? Isn't it the part of the culture or something?
