I've been thinking about getting one. Some sort of tribal band going around my arm (around the bicep/tricep area). Still some thinking to do, looking for designs and such. I want to be 100% sure before I get one.

I have thought about getting a tattoo but since I know myself, I don't think I would be able to find one that would be good enough to stay permenantly on my body..

I know for a while I wanted two goldfish (japanese style) in the ying yang circle on my left shoulder but...I don't feel so strongly about it being there for the rest of my life because I know I wouldn't want laser removal.

Nope. I'll stick with the 50¢ vending machine tattoos that can be easily applied without any pain and easily removed.

I like tattoos, but I've never been able to think of one I'm sure I'd want. I have fickle tastes when it comes to cool pictures.

I really would like to have tattoos but here where I live there are still some people who judge you by that. I'm still going to do 4.2 on each arm.

On the left arm a Dreamcatcher and KONKON written in the pacman font ( the maze one) and in the right arm the Libra symbol and '' Express yourself'' written in a old font

Did not know if anyone put this site up yet but if you are thinking of Chinese or Japanese characters in a tattoo, it is a must
http://hanzismatter.blogspot.com/

That is good advice. When I got my my Chinese tattoo I didn't just pick the symbol off some chart they had at the tattoo parlor. I had researched it and made sure I had the right symbol and the right form of the word. All my tattoos have very personal and specific meaning to me. I didn't get a Chinese symbol because it was trendy. I wanted something no one else could read. (except a billion Chinese people I guess but I don't plan on going to China) I have never gone into a shop and picked something out of one of their books or off the wall. I have 5 tattoos so far.

My brother and I want matching thumbnail size tattoos of Ying and Yang. He then wants to do the whole sleeve tattoo thing but one's enough for me.

I want one either on my wrists, or on my collar bone area. Not quite sure what I want. Perhaps have them be meaningful words.
But I won't be getting it until I'm WAY older. My parents warned me of very likely and possible regrets, because of their experiences with tattoos.
I really want a sleeve... A vibrant one, but I think I'll start off with a small one first, and then ponder on the sleeve.

Another thing to think about.

You pick your tattoo, you know what you want, you know where it is going to be inked on your body, what tattoo shop are you going to get it from? That is a very important decision, you don't want a back alley scratcher coming up with something and it looks terrible.

My best advice for that is when you see someone with ink that you like, ask them where they got it from. Get recommendations. Don't be afraid to ask an artist to see his/her portfolio. Don't be afraid to travel. I am in Chicago and when my wife wanted a tattoo, she went to where her friend goes in Central Michigan. My third was done by the person who does my stepdaughter's work.

Also a professional artist should take everything out from its sterile packages in front of you, and put the ink in a disposable container.

One last suggestion, if you are allergic to latex, let your artist know, my wife made sure of that.

once your an adult, you can do as you please, however if your living at home, you shouldn't do things which will cause friction between you and your parents, afterall they gave of themselves up to now.
