hey when do you guys think DC comics/warner bros would make an japanese anime? marvel has made several already http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Marvel_Anime_episodes#Iron_Man but it was not that good. recently or last year DC has tried making ame-comi a comic where the art style is suppose to be like that of a japanese manga and appeal to people who are into manga/anime. all the heroes in ame-comi are changed to heroines and heroines are .... heroines and vice versa for the villains. and i did read somewhere that DC comics does want to try tackle into japan. and there was that short from DC nation of batman, catwoman, and bane in a shanghai version look.

so would we be seeing a japanese style versions of DC characters? what do you guys think?

why not? make the animation look like anime but without the ecchiness and anime boob physics. and add a good plot/story and epic fighting scenes and we would have a good anime.

They did that. It's called "Batman the animated series."

Wasn't there sort of an anime-inspired Batman?

I don't like american comics/cartoons for the same reason I don't like never-ending shonen. the series winds up being hundreds of episodes long, full of filler, and existing only for the sake of drawing the series out as long as possible to make as much money as possible.

I won't even watch the marvel anime, much less the DC brand. The Japanese culture works for it's anime, but I don't think it works when they adapt American characters into something the Japanese culture works with. I guess for me it's like taking a Samurai movie dubbing it and playing it in the U.S. in reverse. American concept adapted for the Japanese and their culture then subtitled for the English speakers changes it in a way that seems like I do recognize the characters, but they're not the characters I know.

The Iron Man anime was boring and voice acting was shit.
And of course the animations and artwork was meh. The animation studio that did it could've done better, but they never bother too much with american cartoon heroes for some reason. Just like Production I.G on the Mass Effect movie.

The Iron man anime was kind of meh and the Wolverine one was...wrong in many ways

but I think the X-Men anime was actually pretty good.

I think it's a matter of finding a proper balance between the two styles.

that said I find the character designs for DC's AmeComi stuff to be awful.

I'm not saying they could do a good anime style show with DC characters, heck Young Justice and Teen Titans were great shows and I don't think anyone can deny the Anime influences on those (particularly Teen Titans).

I just hope they don't try something with those AmeComi characters....really really don't like those designs.
