The...what? All hope is lost. All hands, abandon ship! We are going down!

On a less whimsical note, this is prolly a slow news day.....

Thigh Gap Obsession

The gripping sensation that is sweeping the tween and teenage girl nation. All over the schools in the homes and in the news.

This is so incredibly stupid I can't even

Give her a sandwich STAT "to gap or not to gap". My type would be the skinny woman with an extra 20-25lbs and fit(regularly works out)...which is what I am on the Male side of body types, but the gap really doesn't matter to me.

Well I knew this for a while and Tumblr has MANY of those pictures around. I don't think having your thighs touch is bad but you know it's also true that THAT's what teen girls want. Though it's not just tumblr and facebook I see it in anime too, all the time!

-Jumps into anime world-

I know I have problems with this because a lot of times I want to cosplay characters but I'm not "skinny" enough and in reality the otaku community is really tough on girl cosplayers if they aren't skinny enough or pretty enough. Though it's nerally impossible to be as skinny as an anime girl would be and some of them have unrealistic porportions that guys drool over, This Fad has been here for a long time, if you are truely un-happy with your body (like me) then go start eating healthy and working out instead of sitting around doing things that are going to make it worse.

LOL you are so right about more compliments and touches from other men than women...ugh hate that part about being in great shape...I don't get it too much anymore because I give them the do not touch me look on my face , but close friends still do it. I guess the touches come with the steel abs. .

I... am going to go catch up on Ixion Saga DT. I have almost no opinion or interest in the subject of this topic, as I have neither seen nor heard of this obsession. Obviously then, it's unimportant or otherwise unaffective of my well-being. I have only pity for those people who feel that their well-being is being threatened by fashion trends -- life must be difficult when you are unable cope with the idea of tight pants.

Wow, first I heard of this. Interesting, but eat healthy and exercise moderately thats all you need to do. Not everyone will look the same, focus should be on health not a particular look.

it is called anorexia and it is not beautiful or sexy at all. cudos to you if you have it on a normal diet without starving yourself.

When I was a kid we had this too and that was a long time ago. I cant remember exactly but there was even a measurement. No funny jokes please but you had to fit something between your thighs without it touching on either side. Just like the pencil test for your boobs. Young girls have funny ideas about what their bodies should look like even if it isn't possible. Body types are different and thinking they should all look alike is boring. Be comfortable with your body and don't try to be a cutout of what is fashionable.

Women, you have to realize that us men are really simple minded. We really don't care. Women come up with all this stuff that thinks will make them better looking. But it doesn't matter. Guys don't originally think of it, so if you create it then we think it.
The only problem with people today is the craze of "obesity".
I'm not in the best shape, I used to be pretty ripped, but I lost motivation to keep working out. I had/have no purpose to work out. If women want guys to be in better shape, then date them.

A study was just done that males feel less fatigued after working out when women are watching them. Its a male instinct to want to impress women, but we have to have a reason. Being healthy is one reason, but it's not enough to stay motivated for a long time.
Sometimes women also need to take the initiative to ask men out. Times have changed where women want equality and part of that comes with a social change.
