I think the biggest things people need to realize are:
1. Toonami is an ACTION oriented block. I love slice of life anime but that's not Toonami.

2. Toonami is NOT anime only. They also show American cartoons like Thundercats and Justice Leauge back in the day.

3. Many of the Toonami Classics (Gundam, Outlaw Star, etc.) are Bandai titles and as we all know Bandai went under.

4. If it ain't dubbed it ain't gonna happen.

Now like many people have said, I think Madoka Magica would be great for Toonami. I watch Toonami almost every Saturday night, and if you love the idea of anime airing on North American television then I hope you watch it too so they can show even more anime!

Toonami needs someone who actually watches anime to choose what goes on air.

And what would you suggest?

I would like to see some Gundum. Toonami used to have at least 1 mecha show (Lets face is, Eureka 7 really isn't the best Mecha show they have shown), at least 1 magical girl, a few Seinen and a lot of Shonen at all times, and while I'm not sure what the schedual is now since I don't watch Toonami anymore, here are some suggestions.

Mecha suggestions: Any gundum (Minus Gundum SEED), Full Metal Panic, Evangelion, Raxaphon.

Magical Girl: The New Sailor Moon I have been hearing about, Revolutionary Girl Utena (I realize this is very different from most magical girl anime, but it is still very good and technically fits into the genre, Puella Magai Modoka Magica.

Seinen: Fate/Zero, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Monster, Paranoia Agent, Hellsing: Ultimate, Eden of the East, Baccano, Darker than black.

Shonen: Well, lets face it, if the new Toonami is anything like the old one, it has enough Shonen already, but a few new ones I might want to see after they finally boot Naruto and Bleach off would be Black Cat, Blue Exorcist, and A Certain Magical Index.

I don't believe your Seinen title suggestions would work well (Eden of the East maybe), same with Revolutionary Girl Utena. For shounen, I would like to see Gunslinger Girl but its a little much for the programming - the issues it deals with and Birdy the Mighty Decode. That's just me though.

I don't have any suggestions because I often times never get to view toonami because of my work schedule, but I feel for sure it is letting down the potential viewer base by including B-Rated anime.

for toonami, it'd have to be something like soul eater, gundam 00, or kore wa zombie desu ka. something like nanoha, madoka, and steins;gate are more Adult Swim territory.

Soul Eater on Toonami... YES!!! I support that choice completely. Putting Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka would also be good since it would add some variety and a change of pace from all the shonen shows they have on Toonami right now. The dub for Kore wa Zombie is pretty good too. I wouldn't mind rewatching it.

No, Toonami needs shows that can replace all the Cowboy Bebop reruns. I love cowboy bebop, but by god you think something would replace it by now

Bleach should continue until it ends
As much as I like original Naruto, it aired so many times already
Soul Eater is really good.
Cowboy Bebop and InuYasha are great, but they've both run to completion at least 10 times on Adult Swim
Eureka Seven I like so finish that. Then maybe replace it with AO
Did Brotherhood ever finish in the US? Either way, finish it off and toss it. Great show, but too long to run it all over again.
I support bringing back IGPX for a run

I would say Highschool of the Dead would fit, but it will only take one kid falling asleep while watching Cartoon Network and his mom checking on him to find all the tits and ass on the screen to create a massive shitstorm.

Ecchi WILL NOT work on Toonami because it is still technically on Cartoon Network and it's a smart business decision for them to avoid the hassle.

Toonami needs to get the licensing rights for 12/13 and 24/26 episode shows only from here on out.

Problem with Toonami now is that it's only once a week. Gonna take until the end of the year at least to finish Bleach and years to come to finish Naruto. Long running shonen just aren't going to work on a weekly Toonami. Yes, I'm aware that anime only comes out in japan weekly, but that's new stuff, not repeats.

I'm not interested in a magical girl show if it caters to guys. But without too much fanservice, I think it would be a good idea. I think they should show Yu Yu Hakusho again.

Eden of the East would work, I agree. Then they could show the movies too.

why are ppl suggesting soul eater? isnt it already airing?

for recommendations is this a zombie i totally agree with. how about some horror since its late night telelvision. Future Diary could be one, Fairy Tail definitely needs to replace naruto. Blue Exorcist i heard good things about. Some sports anime would definitely work. Sword Art Online needs to be a show along with Accel World. Just my 2 cents

1. a new shonen, it sounds like everyone is getting tired of these constant reruns (cant blame)
2. a few seinens, old and new, personally i think elfen lied is a good toonami fit (moving into adult swim), classics would be nice but they should really rotate them like i love Big O as much as anyone else but give it a breather.

this came up before: toonami should go on demand. fully agree, time to role with the future
