are the characters in Accel World and SAO related in any way (or may eventually crossover?)

Just going to answer this question..... Accel World is set in the same timeline as SAO except it is set further in the future, and there was talk of a crossover, but i don't think anything has been set in stone.

Reki Kawahara:

It was never shown what happens to the characters who died inside the game. How come this was not portrayed and will it be in the future?

What inspired you to make a story-line of a main character stuck in a VRMMORPG? (SAO)

I am quite a fan of both your novels, Accel World and Sword Art Online.

I am impressed that you never gave up the Dengeki Light Novel Award, and started writing a second book.

So here goes my question.
What gave you the inspiration to start writing about a death game, instead of a normal game. I'm am sure that most light novelist would write about a normal game given the same technology.

Reki Kawahara or Toshihiro Kawamoto-
Don't know who i should ask this question to.

Are you guys considering making/sponsoring an onilne game based on SAO or ALO? Or perhaps letting some online companies to have costumes based off the SAO/ALO characters? Like say Nexon with Dragon Nest, S4 League, etc.

Also Reki Kawahara have you ever watched or played the series dot Hack? Were you inspired by this at all to make SAO? If so who was your favorite character from the dot Hack series?

To Reki Kawahara

What inspired you to make SAO?

Did you ever expect SAO to be very famous?

Is there a chance for SAO to have a second season?

Did you enjoy making SAO?

What anime do you like?

Thanks! ;3

To Reki Kawahara:

1) Why make this a harem when Asuna was already chosen from Volume 1?

2) Any chance of the light novels being licensed in English?

Reki Kawahara has done an interview about SAO. [I posted the links in the spoiler] It answers three or so of the asked questions.

I would like to point out that you really shouldn't ask him about S2, because he only writes the stories and not produce anime.
Reki Kawahare writes only in Japan, the novels are translated to other languages by fans and what-not. He doesn't do it.
@the person who asked about chapter 16.5 It is a sex scene It is not appropriate to animate such scene.

Man I'm probably going to get flamed

ftfy.

But really, some questions (Reki Kawahara).

How do you feel about the adaption?

How do you feel about your haters?

Are there parts of your novels you're not satisfied with?

What parts are you proud of?

Maybe these are no good idk.

Question to Reki Kawahara: Would you make a Sword Art Online MMO if you could, as in not a VMMORPG but just in general as a game?
