Sex appeal does. One of the reasons I won't get involved

Yesterday my son (8) told me that he doesn't support gay marriage because he doesn't want any more parents. So funny! When I reassured him that I will not be getting married, he redacted his support of DOMA.

I haven't heard of this campaign (don't have FB and all that stuff), but I support the right for 2 adults to be married regardless of what's in their pants.

Haha I was like that when I was a kid. I could take a position and be coerced away from it so easily. It's too bad that similar forms of positive reinforcement can also be applied to garner large scale support for wars.

Wasn't even aware there was a new campaign, meh. If it gets me legally married to my fiance sooner then i'm all for it but i'm not going to delude myself into thinking that many of the people supporting it right now have even the slightest concern whether it becomes legal or not. Effort in the interest of being trendy is better than complete apathy.

I don't really have much of an opinion on the matter.. The only internal conflict that I face on the issue is that I wouldn't want my children to see it, especially at a very young age.

I have nothing against either parties. It's just my two cents on the subject for myself.

Marraige....Equality!

Not sure what the fuss is about. we've had it in my country for nearly ten years. europe for longer. But hey, I guess it only matters if 'the leader of the free world' does it.

Stupid fees. Hey, let's make our Facebook relationship statuses suddenly become the "official" relationship statuses! That way, there would be no political wars and we could all keep our pennies in our pockets!

For peeps who want and/or have equality or whatever, here's what it's going to cost you, since I doubt anybody is taking Facebook seriously ever.

I noticed lately its not only on facebook but a poster in our local mall... and down in the shopping district by the hotels here in Hawaii...... I know it has been around for awhile but recently people been getting more on this topic not only in FB or other media websites but in my community as well.... there was a portion of it in the news this morning.

Edit: This also includes inter racial marriage as well

I haven't really followed this gay marriage thing in the U.S. closely. Are we simply talking about registered partnership with whatever benefits that may entitle or are we talking about getting married in churches?

If it is the former I couldn't care less. It's fine by me.

For the later, we had this issue in Denmark, where gay people wanted to be married in churches and they are now allowed to do so. I don't know why so many gay people wants to be married in a church when most of them aren't christians. And what I really don't get is why gays are more important than religious people. Being married in a church is about christians making a promise in front of their god. It is clearly quite important for them. There's no good reason to offend christians just so gay people can "get married in pretty chruches" as one gay Dane put it in words.
On the other hand, if you're gay and christian I would say that it is the priests decision if he will bless the marriage or not.

But as I wrote earlier. If we're simply talking about registered partnership then it's alright. And I will agree with the people who states, that it seems like many people just say they are for gay right because it's hip. All this political correctnes and shallow compasion which seems to be so popular in these ages really does make me sick.

Um, if you wouldn't want your children to see homosexuals acting in public the way that heterosexuals act in public, either straight people are publicly indecent or you have something against it.

Personally, I think straight people tend to be publicly indecent and it grosses me out. Really, I don't care what you do in the privacy of your own home, but it's offensive to force it on the rest of us. But... because I don't feel the same way about the same behavior by same sex couples, I attribute my physical revulsion to a physiological expression of my genetic differences - I'm just programmed to be disgusted by you people and get very uncomfortable when you flaunt your sexuality without regard to the people around you.

That's just my two cents on the subject for myself.
(Sorry for offending all the straight people I just called disgusting and publicly indecent. It's a shitty feeling to be on the receiving end of that.)
