It's interesting that by creating this thread you're almost doing the same thing but on the other side of the spectrum. Your'e making an assumption. If that is your real age you still have a lot more time and experience to make a more accurate opinion. "Why do MEN generalize women so much?" is saying that all men do that? Which obviously cannot be true. Also from my experience "some" (notice the wording) women generalize other women just as much as some men do. So will give you some advice on this subject because it seem to be troubling you (because if it wasn't you wouldn't have made this thread). This is just an opinion based of my life experiences. You can decided to believe it or not.

People tend to reflect themselves on to others and with men and women this happens more then often. Women tend to want a man to be more like a woman (emotionally/sexually). Which is really hard because we are men. Men tend to want women to act more like men (logical/sexually). Which is hard because women are women. Sometimes you just need to accept that men are men and women are women. There is a reason why we are different and we should learn to accept that.

Your real question to yourself should be why do I think that men generalize women? In the end this has nothing to do with men. It has to do with your logic and your way of thinking. Alos this is the internet..... you shouldn't take every negative comment seriously.

PS
I am not going to read this entire thread..I rather watch HunterXHunter

Stereotypes are born out of some amount of truth. Many women are overly complex, emotional and nuts. Many men are dumb, aloof, and braggarts. So what? Just do the best you can by everyone you encounter, start with respect and see where you get. I've found in the vast majority of cases, there's something to like about most people, even the ones who do fall into the stereotypes. Chances are, you yourself fall into a few of the tropes that would cause someone to label you. I'm guessing if one took just a moment to look beneath the surface though, they would find a lot of really awesome things. I've met few people this isn't true of.

Not to get all mush- just don't fall into the trap of becoming bitter because some people don't bother to look beneath the surface. It's not worth your time.

Yes, I know I'm late to this conversation and I'd also like to say I haven't really read the previous pages, but I'm going to drop in really quick to make a completely unhelpful and most likely irrelevant statement in response to the title of this thread.

Simply put: men like to generalize women so much because of "ur m0m".

It's her fault, that's all I'm saying.

Why does everybody generalize everybody so much?
Women see men as pigs, men see women as sluts, women see men as emotionless, men see women as over-emotional, etc.
I'm a girl and I don't get it. Why can't we just be people..? Why do we have to generalize anyone?
I personally think men have more animal-like natures than women, but maybe it's just me. Not that that's a bad thing, that's just how I see it.

Women see men as pigs...yet yet...they always want to know how to please a man. lol..Doesn't make a lot of sense.

I'm a female but I have a hard time understanding either sex...there is just tooooooooooooo much game playing by both. Hows that for generalization? lol

Its just human nature.

I like to think we do it because we used to have to basically do that to everything.

Tigers=Dangerous. Be careful. If we didn't give stuff stereotypes, back then, we'd give too many stuff a chance.

I only have to see one tiger eat some dudes before I decide to be careful when hunting them.

It just, unfortunately, made us do that with everything.

Interesting point. You're probably correct. Stereotypes do get a bit annoying, though, but I guess we just have to get used to them.

I completely agree with that! I'm a girl as well. And yes, way too much game playing (although I have yet to experience that kind of stuff.. waiting until I'm much older!!)

I always find it so aggravating when women say men are pigs. They can be pigs. Not all of them are, though. Women can be pigs too.. But try telling those girls that!

Right... Because you know me so well? That must be a really nice pedestal that you keep yourself on. I've already attempted to explain my reasons for making this thread, but you seem perfectly content with drawing up your own conclusions with whatever assumptions you've made. If you want a proper conversation, I'd greatly appreciate it if you wouldn't talk to me as though I'm a lesser being. Your words hardly sound like those of someone who is optimistic, caring, and wants to change the world. I only sense acidic condescension from how you spoke to me. Yes, I did read your Crunchyroll profile after I read your comment.

It’s merely human nature to stereotype people. Humans are judgmental so that we can filter out the weakest among us. Its simple Darwinism, generalizing women is just a side effect.

I also think its funny how this form is a generalizing men by complaining about how they’re generalizing women, I just love irony!
