LONDON (WKBW) - 17-year-old Nick D'Aloisio has been developing apps since he was 12, and came up with an app at his home in London two years ago, which he just sold to Yahoo! for a huge price tag.
D'Aloisio created Summly, a mobile app that searches for snippets of news and makes them better suited for smartphones. The app is full of summarized versions of news articles optimized for smartphones.
D'Aloisio started developing Summly at 15-years-old and recently sold it to Yahoo! for $30 million.
Yahoo! purchased the app in their recent string of acquisitions intended to bolster their mobile sources.

Well, at least he won't have to worry about money. (Assuming he uses it wisely, of course).

I am sure there are plenty of people that age who are responsible with money but there is a huge chance he is going to blow it all. It's like winning the lottery and that doesn't go too well for a lot of people.

This is more or less my dream. I'm getting my major in Computer Science right now and have been trying to develop apps for Android for a little while now (still learning). Hopefully I'll find even a fraction of success as this guy - that would be amazing.

Bullshit. "In his room" like. Wouldn't exactly call it that when you are funded by one of the world's largest IT billionaires, when his lawyer-mom has handled finances and broker-dad can promote the app free, for the rich people in the higher circles.
