Sakura Haruno from Naruto. I hated her in Naruto but in Shippuden, she seems really awesome.

She has grown on me so much since the Sasuke retrieval arc! I used to think her obsession with everything Sasuke-related was immature but in later episodes I was able to empathise. Though still a relatable character, she has really come into her own through training with Tsunade. It's interesting to hear Kishimoto's views on his characters: in past interviews he admitted characters like Sakura and Rock Lee represent humanity, with all its imperfections and flaws, as opposed to ingenuity and natural talent (Neiji, the Uchiha brothers, etc.).

I was going to say Sakura from Naruto, but then I realized I still dislike her.

Maybe Fai from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle? I used to really dislike him - I still don't love him, but I'm okay with him now.

Mihashi Ren- I mean, he's still flaming and all. But he's a crybaby for a good reason and is a really good person.
Haruhi Suzumiya- She still gets on my nerves, but while I dislike her I also like her.

Black Star from Soul Eater...in the beginning I could not stand his gigantic ego but then I eventually fell in love with his too big of a head.

Yoite from Nabari No Ou, he angered me with all his lonely Sasuke atmosphere but then I began to understand him.

People like Kirino? Pretty sure she's a demon that snuck into their family and is waiting for the opportune moment to eat all of them. Like Kyosuke says "Thats not Kirino. That's something wearing Kirino's face". Best reveal ever!

I wasn't really a fan of kei kurono from gantz but at the end I really wanted to see more. I didn't particularly like ganta at the start of deadman wonderland either.

With certainty, it has to be Remon from Ano Natsu de Matteru. I just couldn't understand her motives what-so-ever, I really though she was just a total @$$hole. Then I learned, and wow is all I can say!

Just in case, I'll put it in a spoiler. It's from Princess Tutu. I'd consider this a major spoiler to the series. Yes, the character is a spoiler.
