Why do the gifs in the forums look like deleted scenes from A-ha's Take On Me?

Ex.



If this is supposed to be somewhere else please feel free to nuke it.

Indeed, the conversion process that is used is a bit temperamental. I am not sure what it is about some gifs that it does not like, but in most cases, this tool can fix them for you. If you convert the gifs with that before you upload them, then they will usually come out fine.
For example:

It seems that sometimes the .GIFs are too large for Crunchyroll's system. One way to get around this problem, is to upload the .GIFs to another image host such and Imgur [http://imgur.com/] or PhotoBucket or Minus.com, and then insert the image using the Image button (next to the Red color box). Like so:



That way the .GIF isn't being run through the CR internal image host.

Then you will have to make due with hosting the images elsewhere. I don't think this particular tool has a Mac version.

Make certain you are using the URL for the image itself, not the page it is on.
