Possible Spoilers
I'm curious what other people would consider some of the best action scene's done in anime, for me one of them would be in Fate Zero the first all out battle, the scene with Gilgamesh fighting beserker was amazing.

Also i am extremely fond of the fight in problem children, where Izayoi fights Argol.

those two series have my favorite action scenes. the fight that spans the 2 seasons of Fate/Zero with everybody against Caster is my favorite. so awesome.

SAO also had very well done fight scenes
the two Nanoha movies had great fight scenes, though I still think the A's series was better than the movie.
Broken Blade had lots of very well done large scale mecha fights

For newer anime,

some of Psycho Pass action sequence are really well done .The animation are amazing.Very crisp and precise movements.

Indeed I remember the fight scene between Gilgamesh and Beserker was really good too.

Kara no Kyoukai 5: Paradox Spiral. For those who have seen this movie know the scene, but for those unfamiliar with The Garden of Sinner's it's the scene where Shiki is about to leave Enjou's house after looking into his parents murders and end's up having to fight her way out through a horde of zombie esque people. I have never seen an action scene done so well, obviously the animation was jaw dropping as this a Kara no Kyuokai movie and animated by ufotable (Same gents who made Fate/Zero), it was fluid, intense, and all around amazing.

The movies are out of order, I wouldn't recommend this anime for new people. Too much plot holes to infer.

No, in this series especially that would be a huge mistake! I'd suggest the release order but even if you watch it chronologically its not like a lot is taken away, it just means you'll know whats going on. Chronologically the movies go Kara no Kyoukai 2: Murder Study (Part 1), Kara no Kyoukai 4: The Hollow Shrine, Kara no Kyoukai 3: Remaining Sense of Pain, Kara no Kyoukai 1: Overlooking View, Kara no Kyoukai 5: Paradox Spiral, Kara no Kyoukai 6: Oblivion Recorder, Kara no Kyoukai 7: Murder Study (Part 2), Kara no Kyoukai: Epilogue (OVA), Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin (Yet to be released)
