I think for me one of the most annoying cliches would have to be when a show contains too many unnecessary flashbacks.

When there's a big-boobed girl and flat-chested girl. the latter often will be immature.

Last second interruption which manages to save someone / stop someone from dealing the finishing blow

Characters depict as smart or standard but are oblivious to girls/guys liking them. Seriously....

"I only fight so I can protect my friends" protagonists

Fanservice episodes (Hot spring, Beach or swimming episodes)

How in a slice of life/romance anime there are always SOOOO many 'misunderstandings'. A few are okay with me but 'misunderstandings' that take up an entire season are just ridiculous!

Has there been an anime with a school setting where they haven't done a festival episode?

This is a rebuttal to this question, OF CORSE NOT, IN Japanese schools they have festivals to commemorate the school's founding or they have a sports festival or an Arts festival and the list goes on, do some research why don't ya, Or it it too hard for your brain to move your fingers to do it??

Asking silly questions.

Wow, who the heck pissed in your coffee this morning bro???

The last minute girl character that is introduced into the show...that you know with 100% certainty is not in the running for the main character but you find to like more than the other characters in the show :/

Unlock bathroom doors or walking into other rooms without knocking.

Is that how you get kicks old guy? Insulting people that are 30+ years younger than you on internet forums? That make you feel good? Is your retirement home that boring? Or did your family not visit you for Easter, you cock-sucking retard sunuvabitch?

As for brain condition, can you really afford to be worrying about me seeing all the shit coming out of your mouth? Being brain-dead is kind of a big deal even if you are 54. You should get that checked, asshole.

Sincerely, bitch.

Oh and there are a lot of tsunderes and flashbacks in anime.

I may have been out of line with that last sentence and I apologize for that, But really you should do even basic research to find your answers, That is if no one else is willing to tell you, Oh and your use of swear words was just very childish, As a matter of fact, I wouldn't want my family to visit me on easter, because I don't celebrate it, I'd rather not sully my time with a celebration that mixes pagan rites of spring and fertility with the so-called christian holiday. And no it does not make me feel good, though

I guess two things come to mind.

1) Overuse of common superstitions made real when there is no relevance reason for it to be real or pertinent to the story. Example: A character mentions another character in conversation, then it immediately switches to a scene with the other character and the character sneezes. Yeah yeah we all know its a superstition in japan that sneezing is caused by others talking about you, but this is so overused you'd be hard pressed not to find it at least once in any given series. Its way overdone.

I'm completely fine with characters mentioning the superstition if someone sneezes and jokes that someone is talking about them, as that is a cultural thing. Its the overuse of it being real and in all types of anime that it gets to me.

2) Cliffhangers and comebacks at end of episode that reset to zero come the beginning of next episode. This is especially prevalent in long running shounen series.

What I'm talking about is when they leave you with somebody in imminent danger, or making a dramatic comeback in the last scene of an episode, only to trivialize its impact come the beginning of the next episode. I'm not talking about characters legitimately working themselves out of a scrape or ultimately failing after a dramatic comeback over the course of an episode or any other length of time, but rather those all too often times that their dramatic state is resolved and back to zero or even flipped on its head in the first seconds of the next episode.

Its almost a given that if somebody stands up and says something badass at the end of an episode they will spend the entire next episode getting their ass handed to them, or if they are beaten almost to death at the end of an episode they will start the next episode with an asspull second wind of doom and mop the floor with their opponent.
