I face unknown consequences every day. We all do. Plus there is a chance that the unknown is not as bad as the electric shock. Worrying about the future is something I stopped doing a long time ago therefore this question is moot.

It's funny that you pose this question because in every physiology class I've taken, including the labs, electrodes are used to demonstrate enervation of hand muscles. The professor touches the electrodes to the different nerves running down the inner part of the lower arm, and the corresponding fingers clench accordingly (different fingers are controlled by different nerves).

I have always been used as the guinea pig for this demonstration, because I don't feel pain the way other people do and think getting shocked is rather exciting and makes me feel alert and refreshed. It's kind of like eating wasabi, strong ginger, or very hot peppers, although none of those have ever burned me or blistered my skin.

Anyway, to answer the question, I would get shocked right away. And depending how I felt about it, later I might demand a re-test.

I choose C because everybody else is choosing either A or D. Too mainstream.

Thats awesome lol. I would want to be the one who braves up and goes first as well lol. I would be scared at first but really when you get shocked it kinda feels like your being vibrated. haha.

You'd think so, but really I have to be careful about what happens to my body. Like if I step on a sharp rock and cut my foot I may not realize I've been hurt until I see a blood trail. I can feel the rock and I can feel something give (either the rock or my skin breaking), but since I don't feel pain very strongly I don't instinctively react to withdraw my foot and inspect it for damage.

Yeah, I got "shocked" (mini electrocuted) as part of a "joke". Ever since then, I now have nerve damage & pain.

Electrical damage can mess you up, although it isn't responsible for my abnormal pain threshold.
If your neuropathy is bad, you might want to consider neurontin.

Get it over with. Maybe I'll be able to use 50 percent of my brain and become an esper.

I would refuse. What they are doing is an infraction of human rights and many parts of the criminal code. They will be handing their money over to me in court.
