Well here is another acquisition this time made by Funimation.

Also it seems they are doing a limited import sub only release of this?? May have read it wrong though.

Actually, Funimation is distributing a limited import and sometime later(probably in 1 1/2 to 2 years from now), they will do a regular bilingual home video release.

I'm tempted to consider getting the GITS: Arise import, but I have other priorities that I still want to get this summer.

I'll also pose this question, as we are a few weeks away from starting the summer anime season itself, do the people in thread think it's the right time for me to start a Fall 2013 anime thread? (Obviously, I would link to joshstar's AniChart site in the first post).

You're not caught up?

You should go fix this...right now

Going to try to but I'm also behind on several current simulcasts as well and I prefer to catch up on those first. If I'm not caught up with them by the end of the season, who knows when I'll finish them.

EJHicks, you better finish them sooner or later

Somewhat on topic, latest manga chapter of TWGOK has a poster for Season 3
Shows

I get the feeling they're skipping straight to the Goddess Arc (and yes I know that's what the third season is being called but I was holding onto the hope of it being 24 episodes long or something so they can cover all the girl arcs before the Goddess Arc)

I'm of mixed feeling about it skipping to the Goddess Arc (assuming they do actually skip). I loved the first two seasons; but after reading a summary of the rest of the manga, I decided that I wished they had cut and sped up some of the previous two (particularly season 2) so that they could reach the Goddess Arc in the third season without skipping the things that seemed more important. Though I may end up having to break my usual habits and find a scantalation site for some chapters depending on whether or not they cut the introduction stories for the 1-2 most important new characters.

On July 11, there is a TV special Mewtwo ~Kakusei e no Prologue~ that is connected to the July movie Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Shinsoku no Genosekuto: Myuutsū Kakusei (Pokémon the Movie: ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening). The TV Special will air on TV Tokyo at 7 pm JST

Also mentioned is this:

The former AKB48 idol Atsuko Maeda is serving as "program navigator" host for the special. Maeda is also narrating the upcoming film's accompanying Pikachu short "Pikachu to Eevee Friends."

Great to see Acchan involved with this too.

Blood Lad, Silver Spoon and Danganronpa are where it's at for me, for sure. I'd prefer marathoning Monogatari Series when it's over but I'm not sure I'll be able to resist.

If they go with 24 episodes in season 3, it will be amazing
If they go with the standard 12, I'll be surprised how they will try to tie everything together after skipping so much

FansubDB lists Genshiken Nidaime as 12 episodes.

And NTV has an English page for Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku which mentions that it is 12 episodes:
