I watched about 5 minutes and the quality actually looks decent (after I spent ~2 minutes refreshing in order to get it to play at 576p, which I believe is the max).

StreamTransport reports it as 896 x 504, which coincidentally is the same size as their default video frame, and the stream of that one Naruto game commercial that seems to be the only one they show. It seems a bit odd when they have other videos that are reported as 1280x720.

My bad, I edited that number in a few hours after I checked it so I must of messed up.

On another note it seems like Silver Spoon is also a Daisuki exclusive simulcast... The news is almost a day old but I didn't see anyone posting about it.

Checked with people who were at the panel - aniplex of america did not announce who was streaming silver spoon. So i think ann messed up.

I guess that is typical of ANN these days... or maybe they have some inside information?

Then again if Daisuki did have it I'd think that they would be promoting it early like they did for Monogatari.

It seems odd that they wouldn't go back and correct the article (as they've certainly done corrections before), but it would explain why they didn't post it to the news page and no one else reported it.

Sentai licenses the long named one that ended with C3.

Also I'm pretty sure that ANN is showing its incompetence again with that article erroneous info on Silver Spoon.

As to today's catalog title, Nekomonogatari Black would be the likely one. But it could also be Rozen Maiden, Ro-Kyu-Bu! or Tamayura(I noticed two Tamayura stories today).

Since the simulcast blocks are still all "TBD" at the moment, i would wager against either Ro-Kyu-Bu! or Tamayura, as unless they announce the simulcast of the current series first, it would tip their hand. If they had either simulcast announcement ready to go, I would expect one of the simulcast "?" boxes to also have had today's date added.

Rozen Maiden also seems unlikely for that "July 5" box, as I would think if CR was going to get one series, they would get both.

Well considering there are only 3 spots left on crunchys simulcast list, we will be missing out on a lot of great anime this summer ( unless they add more ) Last season I only had to torrent 4 series, two of which only because they came out earlier on other sites and I was too impatient to wait for crunchy.

Pretty sure that CR has more than 3 simulcast annoucements left. They will probably do at least 3 tomorrow at their Anime Expo panel, but yeah CR isn't done until they say they're done(and sometimes not even then).

I'm going to make a guess that TWGOK III will be announced at least this weekend.

I'm also giving 50/50 for Uchouten Kazoku with PA Works being involved. Blood Lad possibly but I'm not too sure on it.

Agree since Funimation got Red Data Girl which was PA Works Lantis recently and Crunchyroll got Tari Tari last year this makes it 50% for Crunchyroll.

Eeh...

I actually haven't seen that one; I'm sad now though. If they'd gotten Akagi I would've been ecstatic.

Kaiji's a real shock since it's never been licensed in the US.

ETA: And Genshiken has no launch date. Hopefully that's because it's a late addition (which would explain why no announcement was scheduled today) and not because it's a delay cast.

Until CR stops adding boxes, it doesn't really pay to think in terms of "only x spots" left, since those only represent shows that CR knows they have, but aren't ready to announce yet. It doesn't include series they still are negotiating more, even if they are confident they will eventually work out a deal.

I had stated days ago I expect the final tally to be around 25 new simulcasts, and we currently stand at 17 (not including the J-drama). There are still 12 series I count that have yet to premiere for which no simulcast has been announced, and CR typically has at least one or more late arrivals, so I have little reason to doubt my earlier prediction.

They certainly blind-sided us with those, since I doubt anyone would have ever guessed them. I have seen people request them in the past, so there will be some happy people once they see the announcement.

There is also the possibility that some company (e.g., Sentai, NISA) will be following up announcing they've licensed both series.
