Is Valvrave ending or getting a second season later? It isn't in the continuing simulcasts but, that story is not nearly finished. Judging from the pacing and story organization it looked like it would be at least 26 episodes and possibly 52 like most of the Gundam series. Anybody have some insight?

It gets a 2nd season airing on Fall (October)

WHAT THE FLIP!?!

WHY Viz! Why?

Dang... Now I have to go to Hulu... Also dang.. Gargantia (ain't it an original not a manga)(also I wanted NIS to get this one)? Now the snooty people on Hulu will be able to watch the show...

lolitsronald, calm down. I am not a fan of Hulu (or Funimation for that matter) but, it isn't really a problem. I watch shows on there all the time. The ads are annoying and you can't completely get rid of them by going to a paid account (So, why pay for an account then? That is what I would like to ask the execs.) However, the site works and the quality and subs are passable. Just make sure you turn off the auto adjusting stream quality. Sometimes that makes the video go haywire.

I really wish sites would quit that by the way. Most people that deal with streaming video a lot know that the first thing you do is cut the quality if you are having lag problems, loading issues, and/or stuttering/freezing. For those that don't, that is what customer support and FAQ sections are for. Auto adjusting streaming levels doesn't work.

Does anyone know where I can find a calendar that has the days in which the anime's come out?

A more compact list is FansubDB.

Keep in mind anything with a time past 24:00 (e.g., 25:30) means it actually premieres early AM the next day. (A show listed for 07/07 at 25:30 would air at 1:30 AM on July 8).

The premiere times are for Japan, which is many hours ahead of the U.S. (For example, as I type this, it is 8:30 AM PDT / 11:30 AM EST in the United States on Saturday, July 6, but in Japan it is 12:30 AM on Sunday, July 8).

Valvrave was scheduled to be a split cour series from the start. As with most split cour series, there is a one season gap between and the second half premieres this fall.

Sites have to account for the less technically knowledgeable and those that are simply mentally lazy, which are likely the majority. I don't mind it as long as the site allows me to select a resolution (like Hulu), or it seems to work well (like Netflix).

Looks like Daisuki has just released the first episode of Monogatari season 2, for anyone who is interested.

The month-long period of torture begins I'm still hoping Nekomonogatari: Kuro is gonna be added on here weekly.

I kind of don't want to give in, but once it starts getting discussed on the forum here, I'm probably going to just go to Daisuki too.

It wouldn't do any harm to actually watch the episode on Daisuki. Especially if you plan to rewatch it on Crunchyroll as well.

First time I've been impressed with Daisuki since it first launched. I still wish they hadn't withheld licensing rights, but oh well.

I'd suggest watching all of Nekomonogatari: Kuro in one go if you can hold out; something about it just improves from not being broken up. Even though each piece feels distinct, when it's done it's more satisfying experienced as a whole.

Imho.

Agreed, I watched episodes 1-2 when the first disc game out, then watched 1-4 a month later when the second disc arrived. Marathoned Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari and Neko Black just recently before second season started and wow, 30 episodes in a row! Awesome!
