Completely forgot that Sunday Without God is supposed to be out today. I hope a delay isn't the case then.

I think the Crunchyroll staff partied too hard at AX LOL Stuff is coming out very close to release time, like half an hour away. Worry not... yet...

It says it starts at 12 pm pacific. So is it 1 more hour from right now?

T-42 minutes and counting... on my mark... mark...

Edit: T-36 minutes on my mark... mark... holding for Crunchyroll!

---

On another note, Recorder and Randsell season 3 now starts Thursday at noon EDT for both free and premium members...

--

Edit again: T-27 minutes and the range officer reports that it is Tuesday and God is nowhere in sight... hope we don't have to wait for Sunday...

--

Failure to launch! That's a scrub folks! Next launch window opens in... 30 minutes...

A Tuesday without Sunday Without God!

Crunchyroll abandoned the show on Tuesday...

Good to know that it isn't being pushed back a few days or anything. Now to continually refresh the page and hope the episode is shown as available.

I wasn't expecting an announcement today so this was a nice surprise.

I've only seen a few preview pictures of Gatchaman Crowds and the art style is what is drawing me in.
I'm also ok with the superpower heroes shows

Will watch.

I think this season has the most amount of shows that I am watching: I think I am watching 11 full-length and 1 short.

I would have thought that they would wait until at least tomorrow, but an announcement today is good

The last box just got filled with Gatchaman Crowds, so unless they suddenly add more boxes, that's it for this season's simulcasts. How did you like the selection?

The new series is going to follow the second manga, which picked up where the first manga abruptly left off.

Here's the whole story. The Rozen Maiden manga has quite a troubled production history. The original manga launched in 2002 and the first anime series came out in 2004, followed by a second season, Traumend, in 2005. The anime was a completely original story that diverted from the manga, such as having Barasuishou, an anime only character, serve as the main antagonist in Traumend instead of Kirakishou. Due to Kira's very late introduction in the manga, the writers probably didn't have much to go on for her character at the time and that may be why she was replaced with an original character instead.

In 2007, a couple years after Traumend came out, Peach-Pit was involved in some kind of accident and were hospitalized. At the time, they were working on three series at once (Rozen Maiden, Zombie-Loan, and had just luanched Shugo Chara) which were put on hiatus. When they returned to work after a couple months, there was some kind of fallout with their editors. What exactly happened has never been disclosed, but Rozen Maiden ended up being cut short with a Deus Ex Machina thanks to the executive meddling. The authors even wrote an apology letter for the sudden ending and left the magazine.

Several months later, they found work elsewhere and relaunched the series. At first, it looked like a spin-off, telling what would have happened if Jun chose not to wind. But then it becomes clear
the relaunched manga is a sequel to the first, not a spin-off.

The new anime is based on the second manga. For those who haven't read the first manga, the first episode would be confusing. I get that it rushed and condensed but i think there was nothing else that could be done. It puts eight volumes in 22 minutes since there has to be some kind of summary of what happened leading up to where we get to the parallel worlds, which is where the second manga begins. The first anime doesn't help since it was an original story. For anyone that is new to the series, its better you familiarize yourself with the first manga story or at least watch the first anime before touching Zuruckspulen (though i i think the latter won't help much with understanding the new anime's storyline). This series is not where new fans should start getting into Rozen Maiden. But if you have seen the first anime, we can hope that this will get a more definitive ending.

Hope I've helped clear the confusion a lot of people getting about the show
