Then again maybe it is because we were spoiled last season...

You do realize that we likely haven't reached half of what Crunchyroll will announce for this season. If it's the anime themselves that are letting you down, then that's Japan's fault not Crunchyroll's who try to get what they can get(and likely are about a 1/3 of the way through the annoucements).

I would wait a week before saying that Crunchyroll's lineup is a let down.

true it might get better but at this point in my opinion it is a let down. I'm just one guy though...

Hoping to see that Haiyore! Nyarko-San W is one of the ones picked up, since CR did the first season.

I'm 99% sure that season 2 will come to Crunchyroll based on the fact that the first season is here.

These two other series seem more interesting than what was announced on Sunday. Uta no Prince Sama 2 seems intriguing but I'll wait for CR to release the first season first. On Magestic Prince, I'd love to see a mecha satire if that is indeed the angle its going for.

Another season of announcements and still people can't seem to learn the pattern behind these lineup announcements.

I'm so far behind that this season really doesn't even matter to me as I'm still catching up on Summer 2012 titles, maybe even earlier than that ><.

However I do have good faith that new boxes will be added, that shows with previous seasons which were grabbed by Funimation will most likely go to them, I will reserve judgement on how good or bad the lineup is until they say they are done announcing.

The thing I'm actually really interested in is the Daisuki streaming site that is supposed to be launching, I noticed I saw One Piece listed in the titles that were supposed to launch in April... assuming it was better quality and no commercials for a premium type account I'd love to watch One Piece there instead of at Funimation abomination of a website.

I'm also going to be looking to see what kind of an impact Daisuki has on Crunchyroll's lineup. Right now there isn't much information out there at all, but sure could be interesting to see JP companies move into directly streaming titles themselves. Depends on the number of unique titles but i'd certainly sign up for both them and Crunchyroll.

Well time to get back to older titles and keep an eye out for what else CR picks up along with new developments on Daisuki. Each season streaming seems to be progressing nicely towards 100% licensing, at least in North America, would be great to see it hit that mark sooner than later, even if it means a few different memberships to get everything.

No series that FUNi has licensed for simulcast has ever been on CR for simulcast.

Technically, no series licensed first by Funimation for simulcast has also been simulcast on CR.

There was Sora no Otoshimono: Forte. Strike Witches 2 was supposed to also be simulcast by Funimation, but they never followed through. In both cases, Funimation's licensing was announced after Crunchyroll.

So conceivably, CR could license Railgun S and then Funimation also license it, but I don't see that happening. Frankly, the only reason CR probably got the simulcast of the two shows mentioned (since Funimation had already licensed the first series of each at that point) was some clause in their contract with Kadokawa concerning sequels of series they had previously simulcast.

pistolstaf's point is that at the same point in each of the last six seasons, it would have been a "let down" if it had stopped with just the boxes up at that point in time.

Except it never stopped with anything close to just those boxes. It always ended up with a lot more boxes filled than empty boxes on the first day of the regular announcements.

It definitely could be a bit up or a bit down, a bit better distribution to one region, a bit worse to another region, just because these are negotiations, and the mix of licensing firms and production committees varies from one season to the next. But if it stops with what's up there now, it would be the first time in over a year and a half and six announcement cycles that it worked like that.
