Since we're at the point where windows 10 is about to be released; and Windows 10 is a free update for users of Windows 8, perhaps it would be worthwhile to make an app based around that, with universal support, so it can work on my phone as well as my computer!

Make it so, Crunchyroll!

Edit - What good timing, the tools to make universal apps was just recently released

Nice thing about Universal Apps or as they are called now Windows Apps is that they will work on Windows 10, Windows 10 Phone (think it's called Windows 10 too to be a bit confusing), and XBox One...

so if they thought a head when they made the XBox One app it's possible that that app is Universal and when Windows 10 comes out we will finally get our CruchyRoll App on Windows... although not holding my breath for thinking ahead.

I soo want a windows app, I'm definitely going to Windows 10 when it comes out. I travel a lot and though the browser works fine an App would be great and it would compliment my set of Netflix, Hulu and Plex apps... I was just laughing my ass off when the site touted that finally the app for the WII was out... seriously? I'm pretty sure there are more windows (app) users out there than WII users. You guys got me scratching my head after that one.

So i have Windows 10 on my PC (Clean install from W 8.1) and the Crunchyroll app costs $3.99 USD. But on my phone and tablet it's free. Is this because it's on an operating system now and need to pay royalties to M$ft?

The one published by thaiphamA? That does not appear to be an authorized app, and I haven't heard of CR making a Windows 10 PC app available yet.

The three published by kuti.27 also look like they're probably using fansubs, or some other illegally acquired video source.

If you take note of the listed publisher (and the reviews), you'll note it isn't published by CR.

It is also likely using pirated videos, since if you check the second screenshot, that is a series that isn't even on CR. Apparently Microsoft doesn't spend much on the vetting process for their app submissions.

Thank you greatly guys for clearing that up for me. It didn't even dawn on me to look at the different publishers.
