I hate war.

I'd be very worried if they managed to attack Hyrule.

The US/ROK coalition just need to setup a better middle defense barrier like Israel did against Hamas. They don't need to give into any demands

did you ever read about how effective that barrier was?

Also, North Korea no longer has the general support of china like it did in the past. They dug them selves in deep this time.

Oh God, going into a completely different dimension, a video game world if you will, and attacking a fictional place? We'd all back down!

Personally I see North Korea just like a wild animal that is cornered. The more you shake your weapons or bring in more people the more scared he it gets and sooner or later it will feel like it has no other choice but to attack. North Korea most likely sees the buildup not as a warning what will happen if he does anything but as a build up for a preemptive strike since the US has done this before (Iraq). Also I thank the US is doing this to get him to attack since there is too much pressure at home not to start another war where if he attacks then the army can say see he started it. We (USA) have also done this in the past WWII. If you don’t know why Japan attacked us read up. We need to be ready but not make such a big deal out of it flying stealth bombers capable of delivering nukes was us rattling our weapons there was no need if he attacks it would be over before they got their this was just to shake him up.

I'm not worrying too much to the point where it's corrupting my mind everyday, but it's still a concern.

I have family and friends that I love in Seoul and elsewhere across South Korea.

I've been following the NK story through the Associated Press wire, and I've noticed that the only thing we can really say about their nuclear power is that it is probably just speculation. Of course, analysts are saying that they can't do anything and people are 99.9% sure also, but there's still that 0.01% left because we haven't confirmed it 100%.

I also saw that some of their guns can reach Seoul (not nuclear), so that worries me as well. If they truly take military action against the rest of the world, it will be just suicide. I also read about a missile that they have which can reach the U.S. However, again, "experts" are saying that the missile is very inaccurate and will probably miss or be easily destroyed by our anti-missile defense system.

Bottom line for me though is that I hope nothing happens but that if something does break out, the damage and death toll will be at a minimum.

I wonder how he will feel if North Korea somehow does kill lots of people with a nuclear weapon.

North Korea won't do shit, they are yeeeaaars behind in technology and their only ally is china which WILL NOT help them in a war, they even told NK to stop with the threats, NK has been making threats like this since the korean war back in 1950. The most NK has done to prove something in the last century is kill 4-6 random villagers in SK. SK alone can take on NK, but the US will destroy it. Kim Jong Un is just bluff

Also this...

- North Korea lacks means for nuclear strike on U.S., experts say (Reuters)

North Korea's explicit threats this week to strike the United States with nuclear weapons are rhetorical bluster, as the isolated nation does not yet have the means to make good on them, Western officials and security experts say.

Pyongyang has slowly and steadily improved its missile capabilities in recent years and U.S. officials say its missiles may be capable of hitting outlying U.S. territories and states, including Guam, Alaska and Hawaii.

Some private experts say even this view is alarmist. There is no evidence, the officials say, that North Korea has tested the complex art of miniaturizing a nuclear weapon to be placed on a long-range missile, a capability the United States, Russia, China and others achieved decades ago.

In other words, North Korea might be able to hit some part of the United States, but not the mainland and not with a nuclear weapon.

I don't think anything is going to happen.. This is all about The leader proving himself as a worthy leader, because of the assassination attempt on his life recently, he is trying to get popular with the people and the military so that it doesn't happen again.

How serious are you taking them right now? For me, I don't feel any danger whatsoever (one of the few perks of living in Ohio, almost zero chance of terrorist attack/nuclear strike) but for people in South Korea, Japan and pacific islands (sorry if I forgot any other allies in that vicinity) they might be in real danger if North Korea is stupid enough to launch the first missiles. I also feel bad for the people of North Korea who are starving and suffering under these idiots.

Edit: I know that North Korea will get all but vaporized if they do attack someone, but do you think they will attack? My gut tells me they won't.

Also funny memes and gifs encouraged.

They do this every year tbh. But all so us provoke them to not like 100% NK

He is just doing what his father did. Threaten and keep on threatening until he decides it is good enough and then get concessions for putting away the nukes. North Korea can't sustain itself without aid from other countries and that is all this is about. It isn't even really about proving himself to the military or anything or at least not fully. He just learned that this is how they go about getting the aid they need to survive. They can't even fight any sort of lengthy war right now because all of their military will soon have to go out into the fields to start planting crops so they don't starve. They have isolated themselves and focused on the military so much that they have crippled themselves entirely including their military. The only issue is that he isn't his father and he might not know when he has crossed a line and ruined his chances. Nobody near his country will back him. Not even China would want to take part in any kind of crap that he starts with other countries since they have better ways to rule the world than wars and that is simply buying everything. Problems could arise from this but at this time it doesn't seem like it would be anything really serious that would be long lasting.

Part of me thinks they're being super beligerent so that their citizens won't revolt. Since their people have no access to news, or outside information if the NK government keeps making outrageous aggressive threats, it keeps panic within the country to a minimum, and only the people that know the truth are the upper echelon of the military and government who's best interest is to maintain that status quo . North Korea will cease to exist the second they try to invade SK, use nuclear weapons, or attack U.S forces though, so it's all very silly.

A brutal dictator of a poor/deprived country is making threats in an effort to puff himself and his regime up? And in other news water is wet and oxygen has a 99.9% approval rating with humans. I take North Korea about as seriously as I do the lizard people who live in the Earth's core.
