We use to let Europe handle world affairs and got WW1 and WW2 out of it. Then we have to go bail Europe out of it and then reinvest in their destroyed economies(Marshall Plan). Finally we gave up being uninvolved and decided to take a proactive stance. Only killed 522,000 Americans for us to get the idea leaving it to Europe was not the answer.

BTW United Nations declared War on North Korea, with the USSR abstaining instead of vetoing. We Americans have no peace treaty with North Korea there is only a ceasefire. 41,275 Americans are KIA or presumed dead, we have a debt to people like my Father a "Frozen Chosin" Marine who along with 92,133 Americans was wounded in keeping the Republic of South Korea, now a modern free nation.

Not worried at all, but it's gotten my uncle "bothered", he's a veteran (Thai Expeditionary Force) of the Korean War. I would think that if they're going to start something, the sooner it should be, then the quicker we neutralize their army and leadership, and get to reassimilating and rebuilding the nation. War is as necessary as it is horrible, but it clears things up. North Korea at its current state is a relic that has no place as the world progresses.

Those were nuclear tests performed on their own soil, while condemned by the international community, officially it's not an act of war.

Nothing like defending your major city against giant monsters another nation by placing missile batteries in it.

Stupid kid thinks that getting "great leader" demigod title gives him real power. Hah! I dare him to shoot lightning bolts out of his arse!

As far as politics is concerned, the countries around the forbidden wasteland are more than capable of blocking any potshots the little man could ever throw at them. As long as China remains concerned with financial developments over any need for expansion it would probably get DPRK to heel.

So I don't think that any shit will hit the fan any time soon when in comes to DPRK but no one can really count on them to do anythings smart so I have my doubts.
