At first I thought the issue was just with my cellphone, a Droid 4, but I discovered that I was able to stream shows using the Netflix app on my phone with no problems. Then when I got home and tried to watch videos on Crunchyroll's site on my PC, I had the same issues: very frequenty buffering, like every 15 seconds, when the video would play at all, making it virtually impossible to watch videos.

Is anyone else having this trouble? It's been going on the past two days now. I can only assume that since I'm having the problem with both my cellphone and my PC - and in locations many miles apart - it must be an issue with the site, and not my devices.

I am currently have the same problem. At first I thought it was because I was watching a just released anime however I am currently in my backlog watching something that has been out for months and I am still having problems.

Alright, thanks for the reply then, I at least wanted to confirm that it wasn't just some issue on my end. Hopefully they'll resolve the issue soon.

i too am having this problem, and i know its definitely not with my machine and i truly doubt its with my network connection.

I periodically experience severe issues with CR streaming, although it's particularly bad right now. They won't admit there is a problem nor provide any technical support other than telling you to change your DNS.

yeah I just started watching episode 52 of Space Brothers, and it keeps on stalling and buffering on me
that hasn't happened in a long while and I don't think its because of my internet connection

Keeps happening to me, it can be every 15 secs or at most I had 13 mins without a problem. This has been happening for past few days even rang my internet provider who ran checks on my connection, which showed everything is ok.

There is a long standing bug, that might be the flash player, where the video will suddenly advances to a later position in the show.

Recently crunchyroll cannot sustain a constant stream of data. The connection will just go dead and the video will stop, or small blips of data will start arriving with large gaps between them, and there won't be enough data to sustain smooth video playback.

Contacting support just ads insult to injury as the same person keeps telling you he "never heard of this before",as you report the same issue over and over again.

Pretty much this. I have been running into the very same problem where a lot of shows I am watching will either stop completely, or will stop and start multiple times in a moment making playback unbearable. Of course the standard answer given to me will probably be that it is my internet connection or ISP, but I find that pretty hard to believe when I can run a torrent to download the show I am trying to watch (and paying to watch) at 1.0 MB+ per second DL rate AND play World of Warcraft at the same time, while having Facebook updating on Firefox in the background (this scenario actually just happened after trying to watch the newest episode of Cardfight Vanguard) that it is something on my end. This doesn't even take into account that I've played back shows from you guys using the same setup for years with no issue until just recently in this last month or so.

Now I've been a supporter of Crunchyroll now for going on 2 years by buying a premium account when literally everything provided can be downloaded for free, but the reason I pay the money is because the service being provided is great and I want to see it continue. However, if I can't even watch a video in 720p on this site without issues when my computer and internet can handle 1080p streams on other sites (and have before on this site) makes me look at bit harder at where my money is going. Having great subs means nothing if I can't watch them in the quality that I am paying for.

I am having this issue as well, glad I am not alone. There has been a huge number of hacking cases around the web lately, it could be crunchyrolls server is also currently affected. I am sure this will be fixed, lets just wait it out.
