Wow, this thread just got resurrected from a pile of rubble, lol.

Interesting tribute though. I don't think he used the right color for red or blue though, lol. I think he needed to use magenta and a bit of a darker blue. xP

Haha you are assuming I had the option of other colors. I was mostly proud of getting all the angles pretty close to right on.

Want to own the series digitally (and Legally) in HD? Funimation has released the Original Japanese Version of Hataraku Maou-sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer!) on iTunes.

Every time I see this thread appear on Crunchyroll, I think it's a 2nd season announcement, lol.

Anyways, good to see that there are more legal ways to watch this amazing series now

Saw someone whining on iTunes about it being sub only, but honestly, from $18.00...that is a freaking steal considering half a season of SAO goes for like $40 on DVD.

Gonna think about it a bit, but probably a buy from me, barring news that it's going to DVD in the very near future.

EDIT: And holy crap, if you just want it in SD, it's only $8.00 for the whole season. That's amazingly cheap for a whole season of anime.

With the decent sale listings, I'm really going to keep hopes up for a second season. I heard there are material left from the LN that can be adapted. (haven't read the LN yet though)

This show really caught me off guard with its serious comedy. It's so funny to see a devil king end up working in a fast food restaurant to make ends meet with the rent. lol

Indeed.

Watched it last week, and I absolutely loved it!

If I remember what I read correctly about the source material, I believe the first season covered eh...3-4 light novels? And there are 9ish in total?

Okay, I'm gonna check wikipedia...

EDIT: I was pretty close. There are 9 novels total right now & the anime appears to have covered only 2-3 of them. So there is plenty of material left if they were to want to make another season.

For a little more precision, the anime only covered two (volumes 1 and 2), and the 10th light novel was released about 2 days ago. But yes, there is plenty of more material for another season or seasons.

My impression of those anime sales numbers is that we are likely to see a second season at some point, but it's not so popular that they'll necessarily make it right away. I am looking forward to another anime; from the little bit I know from spoilers, it seems there's a fun new character that would come in at the start of a second anime season.

All I will say is, cograts Funi. You got me.

Already have a digital copy, but I will be buying the DVD for sure when it comes out. Being impatient is a bummer sometimes...
