I haven't read the manga for this series, but I am really taking a liking to this anime so far. The animation is definitely unique especially with all the character's emotions. I'm for certain going to watch every episode through the coming weeks!

The weirdest thing about this show is the OP. There's this constant creep-out going with that droning, ominous music underscoring the ugly people in the rusted city--and then on pops this lounged-out little number that sounds like it's being sung by a karaoke failure*. I'll just add it to the things that are weird about this title, I guess.

(*I'm sure someone will now flame me for insulting the singer, and tell me he's Japan's answer to Serge Gainsourg or somesuch.)

LOL the bike scene started out awkward and ended being the funniest wimp-out I've ever seen. Even better because the actor did that windmilling of his arms in real life. Wonder how many takes that took.

Nakamura is twisted and evil, I love it. <3

I don't care what anyone says. I like the series, I like the animation, I like the story, and I want to read the manga. The animation is different and I wish more animators would do something like it. I don't think it's ugly at all. I don't think the rotoscoping is done wrong at all. If you want an example of rotoscoping done INCREDIBLY wrong, watch this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuphhFAiKUc&list=FLoabqfMFYggLI6q_iJh8-jw&index=5

But I digress. I've been reading up on certain forums, and it looks like almost none of the anime fans who have seen this show knew what rotoscoping was until they saw the show. I don't know what all the haters are complaining about. I think it looks perfectly fine. If you can't stand to look at it, then don't. Just get over it.

I've only seen through episode 2, but I don't really expect it to "pick up the pace" though I think you will find in episode 2 that stuff does happen, and things get more intense.

well if things are happening it will make it seem like the pace has been "picked up" so thanks I will give it another try

It's a thriller/psychological/mindfuck show, it's not going to "pick up the pace", no action or adventure, just Nakamura screwing with the protagonist.

Hmm, that's not entirely true... there was one great action scene when...

Hahaha! It was Nakamura's deadpan reaction that had me laughing: "He ran away"

That's not the type of action I was talking about, but that was a hilarious scene.

Episode 3 - OH MY LOL.

This was brilliant

Also ends on another cliffhanger

Next episode will be great

Episode 3 is going to get a lot of 'WTF' reactions hahahaha I think this one is a lot better animated than episode 2, lots of little details like the hair are amazing.
