I'm honestly reveling in the fact that they didn't feel obligated to stick humor where it didn't belong in order to let the show have stronger emotional weight going into the finale, but it still caught me off guard.

I kept expecting a "haha; this is the part when you're supposed to laugh" moment that never came.

I'm not turned off to Hachiman yet, but I do hope his horizons expand before the end.

This is the first show in a while where the one week wait is making me want to look elsewhere... I think I can hold off but I guess that is a sign that I really do like the show.... almost enough to make me break my no fansubs rule... almost.

Not sure we will get full closure in the anime. Nice we are getting a bonus episode 13, sure hope Crunchyroll gets it! Otherwise I will need to break my rule or wait for disc 7... And an OVA with the novel in September but the fact that the novels are ongoing means likely no big romance or big closure though if this show continues to surprise me then I could be wrong about that too!

I really love the show. The main character and I have a bit of the same outlook on things, but I was lucky to have a few close people with me throughout my years. A young, naive, me totally fell into many of the traps of his youth which caused me to be known to "not allow myself to be tricked." I never explain what I mean by it whenever girl drama would come up as I'm sure people understand, but yeah. The main trap I don't relate to is meeting a feminine guy friend.

I laughed a lot watching it thus far and I rarely find anime funny nowadays. I watched the first two episodes during the Spring semester and took a break until I graduated and I am so glad I finally got to marathon the episodes that have aired. Love the show <3.

I want that OVA when it comes out. As Kotoura-San was my biggest surprise during last session's anime list, SNAFU is my biggest surprise for this session. I never expected to be craving each episode. Yui is soooooo adorable I can't help but melt watching her dialogues and her blushing moments at Hachiman.

Yui really does make you melt. At times I fear there is no way she could get together with 'Hikki' but then there are episodes where it seems possible... nice to have the possibility open anyways and yes, always love that bun!

Kotoura-san a big surprise for me too. Still buying the manga, BDs and CDs. The recent drama CD with manga volume 5 is great!

Yui is queen of adorable, Yukino is no slouch though but it's a different kind of cute.

I really relate to him too. I was going to 'share' some of my own mistaken youth romantic comedy moments with you all but then thought better of it LOL. Might be too much sharing... But yes, I certainly understand him much more than the usual harem protagonists, certainly never had 3-5 girls fighting over me! That would have been quite something...

Traps of youth... no, didn't have that kind of trap around in my youth. Now I have many friends with alternative lifestyles and it is no big deal, some of my good friends and co workers so it really is nothing special to me anymore, it is just how things are. But back then, an effeminate male would not have had a good time of things.

Cute indeed! Not even sure if she is a different kind of cute at times, just plain cute!

I see Yukino as a more fragile cute, putting up a front just like Hachiman but she actually seems to want to change unlike Hachiman atm. Yui's cuteness is the bubbly type that is a little clueless and driven by her desire to fit in.

Discussing the finer points of cuteness over the internet, yup I've gone full otaku.

Agree with you on Yukino. They are different but I like them both.

Unfortunately it seems like these attached things are often limited edition for real. Only those preordered were made. I have mine but so far it just seems to be available used:
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/489637424X

Makes me think I need to pre-order the Yahari September novel + OVA as well. If you order late you may lose out...

Though that said, the Yahari novel 7 + drama CD is still available:
http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4094514031

Volume 8 with the OVA doesn't seem to be available for pre-order yet. Edit: now I remember the OVA will be packaged with a PS Vita game, sigh... which probably means amazon won't ship it to me as games seems to be regionally limited for sales. Whatta pain...

At first I thought this anime was really boring but stuck with it and has a nice pace to it.
