You should probably spoiler tag that. Yeah, he should have. I got it though. That said I only watched two episodes during one of the CR live streams and the show was practically screaming it... I have no clue how he could have possibly not seen this coming. |
Just call me.... Revolver. Revolver Doge.

The title and front cover of volume 1 of the light novel and the ads for the anime scream it. If you didn't see it from 10 miles/16km away then... um... what can we do or say?

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide To be fair it was always ambiguous early on because most of the things he does can be seen as trying to help or tease his little sister who he's no longer ignoring |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It's called "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute" how did you not get an inkling of incest? I expected it from the start and got worried when it started to go in different directions I've got to say that in Season 1, while the title did suggest something of that sort, the story actually seemed to settle down pretty much into something approaching typical love/hate relationships between siblings, Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide though Kirino's little-sister-eroge obsession did keep the incest theme there in a silly little way. I do think it's been only in Season 2 of the anime, where toying with various love interests for Kyousuke became the focus, that the "oh yeah, we're probably going there" vibes started humming strongly as more than just a little jokey thing. I really enjoyed the Kirino/Kyousuke dynamic in Season 1 better, and while I've been enjoying Season 2 moderately well, it's not really doing much that I'm interested in, but that dissatisfaction has little to do with where it might end up than that "romance of the week" isn't a narrative I'm ever particularly interested in. |

Well, the brother/sister relationship has always been the central theme, but it's also always been a light hearted comedy.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide But just before the final volume came out, my guess from the way the plot had developed, was that he was going to end up with Ayase. I could see Kyousuke kissing Kirino, but I could never believe that they were genuinely in love with each other, just had very confused feelings |

Depends how you view it really. I think the general consensus from various discussions of the light novels was the the Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Kirino end Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Whilst the Kyousuke's relationship with Kirino has always been the central theme, I never believed they were in love, just highly confused . I don't know how much of it will get animated, but I'm staggered after the sheer amount of work the author did in Volume 10 to turn Ayase into the number one contender. She gets pushed to high heaven, then in Volume 11 we get the explanation for the siblings confused feelings It was obviously a possibility that the Kirino incest ending could occur, but I doubt many people thought it was obvious. It fact most people didn't think it was obvious, hence the shock. I kind of view it a bit like a horror movie. There's always a possibility that the main character will get killed off, hence the tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but there's a difference between tension and crossing the line and doing it |

Honestly, I knew from the first novel where it was heading, and from the first season of anime. Was just plain as day. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I was always hoping for a Kuroneko ending but knew it would be Kirino. |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I always thought Ayase was the best pick for Kyousuke but knew that Kirino would probably be the choice in the end. So I am not that surprised though I do not like the incest part. However, incest is wincest ![]() |

My problem is the shift in genre's so late in the damn game. It was comedy/slice of life/drama... add in a little romance in volume 5 I'm ok with that.
Then welcome to a full blown fucking harem romance complete with every stereotype in volume 10. ![]() Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I'm pissed at the ending for blowing the entire world to smithereens and turning entire novels into massive red herrings for the sake of selling controversy in a final volume the shoots everything else in the foot. There is no build up of "real" romantic feelings of Kyousuke towards Kirino and the most laughable part is volume 11 basically states hes been in love with her since middle school. Yeah cause 14 year olds really understand romantic love(that goes for Kirino too as well lol). It's such a massively weak plot development it boggles my mind watching Kirino shippers eat it up and say how much of a talented author this guy is. Oops looks like I reverted back to the anger stage after being at acceptance. ![]() |

^^^ 13 step programme LOL
But we will get through this... together! Should be fun to see how they anime it anyways. There are things you can write but not show on TV. Not sure about that one scene... |

The problem is the other shoe wont be dropping for probably at least a month after the final episode of TV run airs. I kind of just want to watch the anime first now as reading the entire last volume is going to be hard on my psyche.

didn't need to click a spoiler to find out how this was going to turn out (the rage in this thread gave me a good idea), let's see how the anime plays out.
i'm guessing the radicals from the other heroines' fanbase have already struck. |

After having the ending spoiled by a comment in Episode 10 (the asshole didn't use a spoiler tag), I can honestly say I can mentally forget everything that happened in season 2, including the ending. The season 1 ending and its OVA make for a good ending IMO. As far as the shows end goes:
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide While we knew it was an option all along, it seemed less likely as the show went on. At least for me. Although if there was one thing I liked about the ending, it is that Saori didn't confess to him as far as I know. The only 2 girls he could have ended with that would make me content would be Kuroneko and Saori. The grandmother girl (forget he name since she was so boring) had a funny reaction. I know it was supposed to be serious, but this show has always failed at that. Also, did I miss the reason for everyone confessing to him in the time span of a week? Seemed stupid. In the end, it was a bad end (IMO) to a light novel that had a good first half and a lackluster second half. |
