AAAAAAAAA Saori. But seriously, did Oreimo 2 get a new director or something? These people need to circumcise themselves. If you are a die hard Oreimo fan, chances are, you have REALLY been waiting for the moment when Saori takes off her goddamn glasses. In the first 30 seconds I was pissed off to hell, what ever happened to build up or drama or suspense? For 3 years, I was wondering how they would present this, you'd think they would put alot of time and effort into executing this GRAND moment is a way that was surprising and suspenseful. But no! They just flat out show her without glasses in the first 30 seconds. What. The. Flying. Fuck.

Remember how incredible the build up, tension, and drama was in the first season? When Kirino dropped her eroge in front of her father, I was biting my nails, When Ayase confronted her in Comiket, these are just great dramatic build up scenes. But season 2 was like "Fuck all that" we'll just blatantly show one of the biggest surprises in the show.

Saori's background story is OK, but holy shit, the episode served NO purpose to tell an actual story, it's as if they just wanted to push out her background story and be done with it. In the ORIGINAL season, they story and their histories worked in conjunction with eachother in that their personalities and their story work often follow eachother as 2 parallel lines. This episode was just telling her backstory which isn't bad, but couldn't they have done it in a more clever way? It's better than the first two episodes but come on, they COMPLETELY explained the story of Saori in just one episode, there was no build up, there was no tension, it was like "Hey, let's tell Saori's story and be done with it" And Saori is one of my favorite characters too, but this episode dedicated way too much to her background story. This is OREIMO, one of the best animes in history, I was expecting something a bit more grand, dramatic, and better, ESPECIALLY when it comes to fucking Saori, but this show just took my hopes and expectations and shoved it down a toilet.

I mean, seriously, I thought it would be like "Kyosuke and Saori accidentally bump into eachother at some store" Or "Saori's glasses dramatically fall off after some dramatic confrontation" I can't believe they just spat out one of the biggest driving tension points like that so easily. Being episodic is definitely no stranger to Oreimo, but in the first season, it was far more satisfying and more grand and more conclusive, this one felt like "Ok, tell Saori's backstory and then we're done" And I don't know if I should blame the author or the anime studio, but the original season always had me at the edge of my goddamn seat, what the hell is this all of the sudden? The drama is completely gone.

Perhaps it's due to the fact that I just have such HIGH expectations for this show and when it doesn't meet my standard or season 1's standard, I die a little inside. This episode felt like "Half" of an episode, unlike other episodes, it didn't work in conjunction to anything else, it was completely too focused on a subject that should have had a better intro, build up, and climax.

The next episode is going to be about Rie Hagry, which doesn't sound that great but jesus, this show had it's beautiful soul sucked out of it. I miss the crying, I miss the anger, I miss the emotional dilemmas, I miss ALL of that. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY LITTLE SISTER HIDEYUKI KURATA?

This was definitely better than the last 2 episodes, but compared to the first 3 episodes of season 1, everything that made this show great was killed. That being said, Saori's story IS a good one, it just wasn't presented or built up that well, I was still impressed but that's mostly due to Tsukasa Fushimi rather than Kurata and Kanbe. Also......What in the name of assfuck happened to Kuroneko and Kyousuke? Kyosuke asks her whether or not she liked him and they just FORGOT about that? There's a limit to how episodically ignorant you can be, the girl fucking confesses to you and they just forget all of it. God, the higher they are, the bigger they fall. I can only pray that the next episodes will have SOME sort of drama, but compared to how much content they put in each episode in season 1, this was highly under whelming. Now I'm going to go cry for a bit.

Finally all caught up (to ep 3), and I still have mixed feelings about the show. Mostly because I (still) can't stand Kirino's behavior towards Kyousuke, but I still plan to continue watching since I've already gotten thru the 1st season, and am curious about how a show like this will conclude in the end. I'm also a bit interested in seeing more of the relationship between Kyousuke & Kuroneko.

Wow, I know you're upset, but saying this is one of the best animes in history (when it hasn't even completed yet), I think, might be a bit of a stretch.

It is all tsun and no dere. I must say that season 1 was a lot more coherent in the story which made it better, the second season isn't very good. The story is trying to show a bit of everything which really doesn't work imo.

Umm there WAS a season 1. Season 1 was why I called it one of the best animes in history.

Yes, but I think it would be wise to still wait and see how this 2nd season turns out. The series could take a turn downhill depending on how this 2nd season turns out. But it's still very early in the season, so we'll all just have to watch and see.

That's 5'11'' or so I think. Quite tall for a female especially a japanese woman, but not ZOMG unbelievably tall.

I meant unbelievable as in stretching the credibility of being realistic while taking into consideration the fact that she is supposed to be abnormally tall. Yes she is abnormally tall, but not freak show giantess tall. If you met a Japanese girl of her height on the street you would probably go "Damn, she's tall", but wouldn't be wondering whether or not the circus was in town. Being as she is supposed to be of a height to get a reaction from people as being abnormally tall I think 5'11" is fine, as it fits the intended reaction without being ridiculous.
