Only with one did he seem truly disturbed. Im a faithful hand of the S.S. Ruri but, you should still see that the hardest refusal for him was her. One's love shows through your emotions.

I definitely believe she would top the "Girl he would most likely end up with if Kirino was hit by a truck and killed" list, with Ayase at number 2.

No, I tend to give a lot of thought to any subject if I'm going to make a comment about it. It's just how I am. I'd appreciate it if you didn't accuse me of something like that when I clearly stated I find the idea in real life to be pretty gross. Unless you're just trying to troll me. In which case, I'd kindly ask you to stop.

That is why, after watching the OreImo 2 OVAs and having my heart hit with a truck of feels, I'm proud to announce that my final verdict for the entire OreImo series is...

A 10 OUT OF 10. A TRUE MASTERPIECE.

The entire OreImo series also gets my BADASS SEAL OF APPROVAL!

I think you're letting yourself love The Angry Joe Show a little too much there.

Personally, at least, for Oreimo and the characters it had built up, I didn't mind that he went for Kirino. It was a pretty good ending, the only part that ticked me off was the fact that they made it into like, a short relationship from the start. Kyo does kiss her on the cheek at the end though, which was, from what I've read, actually supposed to a kiss on the lips, and had an implication they continue their relationship in secret; but Publisher's aren't fun people.

Yeah.... that wasn't just "pretty painful" for me. The last three episodes made me happier than I've ever been while watching Oreimo, then the last 5 minutes.... tore out my heart and shot it into the sun. With a bazooka.

I really was just left angry and confused about the ending. The more I think about it, the more I suppose it was a good and fitting ending, but they could've made it a much happier and not-so-bittersweet ending. The re-watch value of the show has certainly gone down for me due to the extreme pain that will follow.

I think it was actually only 2 weeks in length that they ended up being "lovers".

Not surprised I'm getting my claims rebuffed, since you all believe that this ending was due to ''threats''. If anything, the Kuroneko fanbase threatened the author when Volume 8 was released. Also, the one's who are saying that this ending was influenced by the fans, no, it wasn't. He says that in his interview, that this ending is what he wanted although he couldn't dig deep in it because of restrictions.

Ah dammit, that would make it even worse. I really just don't understand the point of going through all that in the last 3 episodes if their romance was going to be so short lived.

The ending has made me wary of other series with awkward brother/sister relationships. WataMote you mustn't pull an Oreimo. You never go Oreimo.

Am I the only person who hated how it ended?

Why would Kyousuke throw away his relationship with Kuroneko? He liked her soooooo much, then suddenly, not so much. It makes no sense. Also, if Kyousuke and Kirino were so devoted, why throw that away as well? If they wanted to go the incest route, they should've gone 100% instead of that lame cop-out of an ending that we got. I hate wishy-washy endings.

Also, Kyousuke's choices make no sense. In my head (a logical world, mind you) when season 1 opened, he would've been pre-dating Manami. Those 2 make the most logical couple out of them all. Kuroneko is a very close second. Kanako and Saori should've never shown any interest in Kyousuke, and that was just dumb stereotypical harem being needlessly injected. Ayase........I'm on the fence. I could go either way. She had valid reasons for liking him, but she should've stayed sidelined because Manami and Kuroneko are larger forces on Kyousuke.

I just hate how season 1 was so great and season 2 was just a typical harem anime.

Although, at least they didn't go the "You aren't actually blood siblings!" route.

No you're not the only person who hated the ending. In my opinion, the reason crap like this happens is because the anime studios have no faith in the audience. They don't trust us enough to support a straightforward drama, so they pile on the familiar tropes like harem just to be safe. They're patronizing and pandering to us. Saori showing romantic interest in Kyousuke was rediculous. They at least could of left her out of it. But no, obviously not. Whatever. I'm completely pissed off to see it end like this.

Knowing how Tomoko's luck normally goes, I don't think we're going to have to worry about that.

Nope--You're definitely not the only one who hated the ending and I think the points you're making here are all very good. The ending was disappointing and a cop-out no matter what your favorite pairing was.

I think the ending was the ending that the author wanted. (Or at least nearly so)

For some reason the author was really dedicated to the idea that Kirino and Kyousuke actually have a real romantic relationship. Look at how he wrote the ending; having Kyousuke systematically break the hearts of all the girls he had once bent over backwards to be nice to. The fight at the end with Manami made this point completely clear.

I think a more empathetic writer would have instead ended it with Kirino finally facing her Big Brother Complex and agreeing that she needed to grow up and get over it. That way the story still ends bittersweet, but the possibility of a future relationship with Kuroneko or any of the other girls would have been preserved. (I for one thought it was great that Kanako confessed to him at the Meruru performance -- it would have been great if they had dated -- even for one episode!)

The Author said in several interviews that he intended from(or near) the beginning that he wanted Kyouske and Kirino to be together however the publisher told him he can't do it because Oreimo had became a symbol for their company and he didn't want to pull the "Oh yeah, they aren't actually related" card so unfortunately he settled on this annoying, ambiguous ending.
