Oh god please let it end here... Where could they possibly go with it? It was hard enough seeing Kyosuke sitting next to Ruri in the back of Kaori's car, and Ruri being supportive. I lost all respect for this show when that happened. The thought of them getting back together is just nauseating.

So then what? Kyosuke and Manami? Never gonna happen. If the writers did that, I swear I'd puke.

Kyosuke and Ayase? You know what? I'd support that if she stabbed Kyosuke to death in the first episode and burned his house down with Kirino inside it. Then the remaining characters could all go to counseling together.

I made this mini comic to better explain my feelings about the series' conclusion. Despite the bittersweet end, Oreimo has left me feeling very satisfied and fulfilled:

Am I the only person who hated how it ended?

Why would Kyousuke throw away his relationship with Kuroneko? He liked her soooooo much, then suddenly, not so much. It makes no sense. Also, if Kyousuke and Kirino were so devoted, why throw that away as well? If they wanted to go the incest route, they should've gone 100% instead of that lame cop-out of an ending that we got. I hate wishy-washy endings.

Also, Kyousuke's choices make no sense. In my head (a logical world, mind you) when season 1 opened, he would've been pre-dating Manami. Those 2 make the most logical couple out of them all. Kuroneko is a very close second. Kanako and Saori should've never shown any interest in Kyousuke, and that was just dumb stereotypical harem being needlessly injected. Ayase........I'm on the fence. I could go either way. She had valid reasons for liking him, but she should've stayed sidelined because Manami and Kuroneko are larger forces on Kyousuke.

I just hate how season 1 was so great and season 2 was just a typical harem anime.

Although, at least they didn't go the "You aren't actually blood siblings!" route.

No, you're not the only one. lol I'm not going to say so far that I hated it, but it left me feeling dissatisfied and disappointed. The ending is what ruined it. Not so much that Kyousuke decided to date Kirino, but that in the end they didn't end up together. Besides didn't Kuroneko dump him? Anyways Team Ayase, baby!

As weird as incest is, if Kyousuke and Kirino paired up 100% and went all the way, that'd be fine with me. Since Kyousuke basically threw away his above-average life and burned every bridge for his bratty sister and ended up with nothing, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth. Too much build-up for no pay-off.

On a side note, I greatly love Kuroneko, but he really needs to be with Manami. And speaking of Manami, watching her treat Kirino like a little bitch was quite enjoyable. Who'd have thought that the hatred wasn't only coming from Kirino's side. I had pegged Manami and being too much of a goodie goodie to act like that.

Put this GIF together to sort out my feelings.

I went on a new run on the series earlier, and still feel the same way I did when I watched it Saturday: Satisfied
Really though, watching the series has been a good run. I'm just glad that I jumped on the ship instead of just blowing off this series like I originally did with Gintama.

She did dump him, and that pissed me off more than anything. I was stoked when they started dating, because I thought that something would come of it, but NOPE! It's like the creators said, "Hey, let's dabble a bit in every possibility then commit to none of them! That way we can try to cater to everyone and satisfy no one!"

The best course would've been:

Kyousuke and Manami already dating at the onset. Kirino is never explicitly a love interest. Kuroneko/Manami/Kyousuke love triangle. Ayase watches with jealousy from the sideline, but never confesses. Saori and Kanako are never even implied to have any interest whatsoever.

Kirino could easily be a catalyst for love troubles between the above, while still staying in the sister-zone.

I wish animes would quit being harems to try to please everyone and just have a logical plot and stick to it.

I still don't believe he loves her that way. His actions don't show the "beyond brother to intimate sexual partner" love. Both of them cringed at that possibility. I still think he loves her as just a sister but he saw her need for acceptance and caring. He gave her the "story" she needed so she could heal and move forward with her life. If she had admitted to loving him first, it may have sunk her deeper into this fantasy she built around her love for her brother. I hope that is what their '10-years from now' story reveals. If not, they at least had the good sense to stop it at this age. If they come back to it as adults that's their business.

Not crazy about it that ending but glad I watched the series. Won't ever forget it, that's for damn sure.

Its sadly the end mate. LN finished and there will be no more new material. As for the 10 year skip bundled with the fist volume DVD/BD, it has nothing to do with the end. Its about about how Tamaki(Kuroneko's Imouto) became Kuroneko now in the future. Hinata asks the beautiful Kirino (she describes her beauty like its something incredible) for ''life counseling'' about her sister. No characters show up.

The author was at the world premier panel during Otakon, and he just said he's going to have to think of something as good as Oreimo for the fans, however he said nothing about continuing the series or anything.
