Heck, episode 13 was recap for the first 5 minutes and half animated after that... very poor planning on the part of the makers of the show. If you're going to make a high action show like this you need to plan for a lot more animators, duh!

Good thing the OST is super awesome! Last night I just listened to most of the show LOL! No need to watch something half animated, the voice acting and soundtrack is good enough as an audio drama... Purple Brick Road FTW...

Its the studio's fault for not increasing the pay of the animators because animating 3DMG sequences are really hard.
What they got was animators leaving and going to other anime like Gargantia which constituted to the amount of still frame animations and stock footage

What exactly are these pictures supposed to depict? They are clearly from different moments of the show just similar images.

The only difference I see is afternoon and midday...

Unless of course what you're pointing out is that they are the same, to imply that animators are lazy.

It's not like you have a million different faces. You probably look the same every time you smile or get angry too.

Yeah, I really hope they fix all of those still frames because that's what brings the anime down. I can't wait for the
though. All dat 3DMG action, Levi. I just can't wait.

Yeah this is an example of terrible usage of the spoiler box. Absolutely breathtakingly stupid. How is anybody supposed to know what awaits them within that box based on any kind of context available, and you're spoiling something on a pretty massive level from the manga.

Please read http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-809837/psa-how-to-spoilers...and read it twice because clearly you're clueless. As you can see you fall squarely in to example B for spoiler box failure. Once you've read it, edit your post before you potentially ruin the show for anyone else
. He made a mistake. No need to insult him for it. It would would likely have been more effective to politely tell him that he could have been more clear about what it was he was spoiling.

I also think doing explaining in a more polite manner would be best, even if it's only so you don't look like an ass. Though, I can see where he's coming from with getting irritated by the spoiler tags that don't properly say what they're spoiling. Still, no need to be rude about it. That's all.

Seems pretty obvious it'd be something we haven't seen yet but know is coming. Ergo, manga spoiler.

Admittedly properly marking your spoiler tags is a good idea, I'd put something in my status about that if I thought anyone would actually notice it and put it into practice. I just don't see the lack of context in this case though.

We have asked Crunchyroll for other spoiler tags but perhaps the discussion board software doesn't handle it. I have also suggested they might want to use an episode/thread model like MAL but no one else is interested in it. Which is fine, I just make suggestions, that's all.

The thread mentioned above about spoilers is a personal thread. I have asked Crunchyroll mods to produce an official spoiler FAQ but I don't think this has been done yet. If they feel like it, they can make one. Again, it is their forum so they are free to add FAQs as they see fit.

Really though, if you don't want to be spoiled then don't click the spoiler tags. Honestly, when I don't want to be spoiled on a show I avoid the discussion forums about that show FOR THE WHOLE WEEK. I know people watch shows elsewhere first and, in addition to me reading the novels and manga other people read them too so I know that there can be spoilers anytime. If you really want to avoid all spoilers then don't go to the discussion forums. But, the forums are fun! you say... and they are fun, but be prepared to be spoiled at any time I say. It happens. $#!^ happens...

This response is 4chan levels of elitism but whatever I'll change it
I apologize

Also if you can't see the usage of stock footage in this scene then you might need to get your eyes checked sir. These things can easily be manipulated by animators. If you don't think this is stock footage then you might want to know what the word means in the first place

So I finally got to listening the whole of AoT OST. It really is epic however I found it funny how the choir butchers the german words in some of the songs. Actually why do the Japanese have such big hard-ons for the German language
TL note: Wakarimasen means I don't know

So I rewatched episode 13 and was this a mistranslation? Because in the manga I'm pretty sure Annie was apologizing to Mina

This is Mina btw. If you guys forgot, she was to Annie (In the training episodes, she is seen in the same table as Annie)

This is the original manga page

I think the OST is great but it is funny there is so much German and English. If you don't know German you don't know it is butchered and if you don't know English you don't know it's actually Engrish...

True and I got a German friend of mine to listen to songs where it has German and even he couldn't really understand some of it

Most Japanese leaves the pronouns off whenever possible and most pronouns are gender neutral. Unfortunately the translator either chose to use the English generic pronoun 'him' or thought they were still talking about Marcus.

What was said was
早く弔って得るんだ
はやくとむらってえるんだ
Hayaku tomuratte erunda

There is no he or she there so I am not sure why one was added. My translation:
Just finish mourning quickly.

I should go see what Funimation did with that line...

German lyrics by Japanese, sung by Japanese.

They fixed up the English lyrics on the sheet I think. They list the same 'person'? mpi for lyrics and vocals for several of the English songs but he sings them and forgets to say "the" and so on, since Japanese language does not use articles like English. Ah well... My Japanese is far from perfect so I should and am not really complaining, just pointing out...

I forgot this as well. This is how she died in the manga, the anime just censored it . Looking at it, I really think the person dead is Mina

He mentions a manga detail completely devoid of any manga context. Please point out the context, although this is a rhetorical request, because there is none, I challenge you to try. He goes directly from talking about animation defects to throwing in a spoiler box with no identification as to what is inside that has information that nobody watching the show could possibly know is coming or have an idea about. Please. Show me the context. Seeing as the post has been edited rightfully, you'll probably have to look to my quote boxes for reference.

I'm harsh about this stuff because others probably don't have the courage or wherewithal to be hard about it, and there isn't one single person out there who does't appreciate considerate spoilers. Sure I could be nice, but I think a nice firm slap on the back of the wrist is more memorable for future cases where they intend to use a spoiler box.
