I also didn't like how little trust they had for Eren, i know that they are on edge but come on now...i actually thought them overreacting like that was to get him mad in an effort to see if anger is what fuels his Titan transformation.

they were on edge because he transformed without prior notice. remember that the survey corps trusted eren however they had this nightmare in the back of their heads that eren might be the enemy of humanity which is completely plausible. you can't fully trust a human that can transform into a titan when you've just met them. so him transforming so suddenly when they had their guards down could be easily interpreted as an attempt to wipe out the survey corps so THAT'S why they were freaking out.

but hey if you don't like realism you can always go watch one piece they fuck with logic in there :)

Attack on Titan for realism, yes! Real people's reactions? Perhaps If Eren really can't control his change into a Titan or his reactions afterward (not all are as fast as Mikasa) then I would probably slice his neck faster than they did, just to be sure. That would perhaps be the most realistic reaction.

Like i said, i knew they were on edge and why they reacted angrily. It just that even when their own captain was saying calm down, they kept yelling over and over again threatening him when he was clearly confused as well. I wouldn't call that completely realistic but whatever.

Imagine you driving a car, and you got T-boned by a truck on a intersection and suffered terrible injuries. After you recovered, every time you pass an intersection, you get the knee-jerk fear that the same thing might happens again. That is PTSD

Now magnified that 100x, fighting in a endless losing battle against Titan and watch you best friends, and your relatives getting eaten by Titan. As a war veteran myself who saw people suffering severe PTSD, a stimulant like Erin's sudden transformation, is powerful enough to drive those harden soldiers into a frenzy-state, where logic and reasoning, even ranks are all out of the window.

Yea, i get what your saying and you backed it with great explanations...but if they were so without reason and logic, how could they still have enough sense to warn him continuously that they will kill him? I would expect them to just try to kill him and get it over with if they were in such a frenzied state.

The reason why they keep demanding the answer instead of kill Erin outright in that situation is Levi. When a soldier stressed out and turns his act on the stimulant, it is depends how much he perceives the threat. Levi reduces that tension by standing in between, putting their trust on the line and display that if they want to kill Erin, they have to kill him first. Of course those guys won't do that and I recall at the beginning of the episode, they kept requesting Levi if they can switch to the 3d gear and confront female titan. The trust between them is not unanimous, and hence why they are demanding answers after backed down from instant murder, they can see the uncertainty in Levi's eyes.

Loved the way they trapped the titan, but come on are you telling me none of those cable arrows pierced her neck? lol
I hope they get the answer they are looking for because I don't think those cables will trap her for long.

What was the reason Levi doesn't tell his team that there is a trap ahead for the titan? I don't see how that information would jepoardize their mission in any way.

I'm pretty sure that even Levi didn't know what exactly Erwin had in store. But Levi's blind faith in his commanding officer is a nice parallel with Eren and Squad Levi struggling to place the same blind trust in each other.

Don't knock the reuse. It saves time and money so they can spend it on action scenes

Everyone, please specifiy whether you are posting spoilers for the anime or the manga. Most people will believe spoilers are safe if they have seen every episode of the Anime thus far, and as we are an anime streaming website, not manga, we remind you to be courteous to your fellow fans and not discuss details beyond the latest episode, without clearly warning everybody first - and of course using spoiler tags as normal.

Thanks

Borrowing zeronite's post to add that if you really want to discuss the manga, there is a manga forum, and even a (currently neglected) AoT thread already there:

Just to be of help, but could you maybe choose a different color than orange for your posts? It's a strain on the eyes. Just go with a simple bold or green.

Like this.

Or this.

You know? It could prevent a lot of potential headaches in the long run.

It is a good series and I like it.

Is it the greatest anime series ever, or among the greatest? No.

AoT is like a fun, well made Summer Blockbuster movie. Good characters, interesting setting but a little short of plot, has plot holes, and is not incredibly deep or moving. It knows what the audience likes, and what'll keep their interest, but beyond that it doesn't have much to offer.

Once the hype is done, it'll gradually fade away from most people's memories.

What's helping its popularity is the internet, its fanbase, and the fact that it can be streamed globally.

I'll give it a 7 out of 10. I do enjoy it, but it's far from a masterpiece, or an anime classic.
