Yeah it sucks having to watch the 1st episode on some crappy fansub site. Not knowing much about the series, and having never read the manga, I was DAMN impressed by this 1st episode! Great story, great animation, great action, and only looking like it can get more epic!!!!!

Honestly very surprised to hear this wasn't going to be streamed anywhere. I just kind of figured it would go to someone so I was avoiding looking for a torrent. I've got memberships here and with Funi so I generally take legal over pirate if it's available, unless the legal version is just really poorly done.

but the absence of a stream isn't going to stop me watching it if I want to watch it.

If they want to make a bad business decision that's their problem not mine.

You should be able to find the Manga in Chapters, Amazon or other Book stores that carry manga. I've bought 3 volumes so far and it's a great series

Its not seinen, its actually shonen. Just because its some blood and gore in it doesnt automatically make it seinen. Sankarea and deadman wonderland are both bloody, but they are shonen.

By the way they just announced that its going to be a 22 episode show.

That was epic especially the end. I really want to see how they go about killing these titans. I also feel like the outline on the Characters is a bit too thick for my liking. I also uploaded a first impressions if anyone is interested

Just 22?
Will they be able to cover a lot of materials
from the manga with just 22 episodes?

Also, I'm not here for a rushed ending.
Hopefully they make more seasons if necessary.

I love this type of anim00!

Shingeki no Kyoujin episode1

Since I saw the first manga already , I can say the adaptation is really well done. The animation is pretty much movie quality .

The music is very noticable and fitting for this genre, the OP music and video sounds made for the anime and it fits the title too..by Hiroyuki Sawano , he did the tract for Guilty Crown also which I think was incredible too. . .

The character design by Kyoji Asano from Psycho Pass and I like his designsAnd he is the animation director for those 2 too. He also did GIT.

I can say the directing and the editing of action sequences are amazing, Tetsuro Araki has done it again.

. Although I have not seen all the Spring anime, this one will top it easily . This is a very high budget first episode

I have 2 thing that bothers me with this title is 1.plot seem simplistic although very imaginative...however it remain to be seen since I have not read all the manga there is .... and 2. Kaji kun as the lead becuase I am starting not to like his yells and whinning delivery of his line with most of his characters lately.

I like him but.... after seeing the first episode , I can say Matsuoka Yoshitsugu is better for this role

Well the manga isnt over yet, and even now they probably wont reach it with 22 episodes. Guess we need to hope for a second season. I dont want a crappy ending either.

At least 22 episodes, could be more:

Anime scriptwriter Noboru Takagi (Baccano!, Durarara!!, Kuroko's Basketball) revealed after the first Attack on Titan episode aired on Saturday that he personally wrote episodes 8, 12, 13, 19, 21, and 22 — thus revealing indirectly that the weekly anime will last at least half a year or two cours (kūru).

Really enjoyed it, highly anticipated. Hope it doesn't get overhyped though we me and my friends and then gets dissapointing towards the end.

Here is my first impression on the episode:
