It appears that FUNimation is having 'a materials delay' with releasing the third episode of Attack on Titan. I sure hope Crunchyroll doesn't get hit by this as well.

We already got attack on titan here on crunchyroll, just not in your region. Also regarding episode three, it did happen in the manga.

Yeah I know, I was referring to the fact that it wasn't available in my region of course (: AnimeKami pointed out to me that it did happen in the manga though, already got the shame-hat on hahah. Some things just tend to slip your mind!

thats what i thought so.

Sometime the mangaka would write flashbacks in the volumes far ahead since the editor probably advised the mangaka to do that to attrack readers in the first volumes or chapters and then he or she can write about it later.

the anime adaptation is better this way

I love the pacing of the show so far, I'm really curious about what's going to happen in the next episode, probably some more brutal carnage done by the titans.

The show makes more sense in chronological order and I did wish the manga was done that way back when I read those parts. I felt annoyed at the flashbacks because it interrupted the plot BUT I still loved the back stories. I enjoyed this episode a lot.
My only qualm would be that by doing this re-arrangement of events the feeling of horror and hopelessness is completely destroyed.
I guess that's why the manga did things in the original order, that way after only 3 chapters the series established what it will be about from now on: Death, Gore, Failure, Mystery.
The anime however is making this series feel more action-shonen to attract more viewers and fixing the timeline at the same time! Nice job!

Now to talk about the content.
You anime viewers only should pay attention at all the new characters.
Go back and remember Ymir and Christa, they are important and this marks how they initially met. (The girls that helped Sasha after she fainted from all the running punishment)
Keep an eye on Reiner and Berthold.

We barely got a glimpse of Annie this episode. She's a blonde girl and was part of the few that the instructor didn't yell at. You can see her being shocked at the interaction between Sasha and the instructor. Anyway, keep an eye on Annie as well.

I knew it!

I watched the new Jojo's bizarre adventure that just finished. Not on crunchyroll. I thought the style of the two animes were very similar and it seems like I was right, both anime is wrote by the same author.

If you folks haven't watched the new Jojo's Bizarre Adventure check it out, it was complete recently. So you don't have to wait for every episode like we are for this one. I'm a really big fan of Jojo for a long time and I betcha it's good.

Edit: sorry I meant screenwriter to be very honest with you, I don't even know what that means. but I can tell you both anime are very similar in style. and also you have to watch Jojo, It inspires you to go to the gym.
