Hey yea so I'm not going to talk about how awesome Jojo Bizarres Adventure is or has the same screenwriter for this anime,
You know I find the setting of this anime a bit weird.

I'm an uneducated blue collar guy so don't take my words for it. but I have some education in conservation how do the giants in the story survive if their food source is people? The trees, grass, other animals, and people are regular size.

Being a long time hunter, and a member of B.C wildlife fed I think I know what I'm talking about :P

Loved the song that was playing right before the ending theme started. Moved the time bar back several times to hear it.

If I hadn't read some the manga, I think that episode 3 would have been good. However, since I have read some of the manga, I think that the anime is going a bit too slow. The manga never went into detail about training the soldiers, so I hope that the anime starts to pick up the pace a bit.

Actually the manga does go into detail about their training, but it's treated as a flashback after a bunch of spoilerific moments happen. I'm actually glad that they're getting it out of the way now instead of going into the intense moments the manga went into right away only too slow it down randomly because of the flashback.

the pacing of the anime is pretty good, in all honesty the manga isn't well paced with the whole training thing

Yeah and the transitioning to the flashback was horrendous, when i first read it, it felt like i skipped a chapter. But it's not that big a surprise, Attack on Titan is the first manga that the author ever published so a lot of mistakes are going to be made, but the anime can fix them.

This was another great episode. I'm kind of disappointed in myself because in my enthusiasm for this series I spoiled a ton of stuff (probably the entire first season of the anime or more) by reading through a lot of the manga, kind of wish I could be surprised for some of this stuff. So far though it's a great adaptation and surpasses the source material.

If your referring to the spoilers that DarkPheonix has been posting, then I feel it's probably a good idea to inform the animé only viewers here that 95% of what he's said is pure (and quite frankly asinine) speculation, that either flat out contradicts facts from the manga or requires making competently baseless assumptions.

Seriously how the hell do you take something like:
(minor spoiler regarding Mikasas back-story)

and turn it into:

Every post he's made in this thread has had a few semi-correct pieces of information, followed by stuff that makes me think he hasn't even read the manga and only knows what he does from reading the WMG page on tvropes or something.

So just ignore every post he makes because he's either an intentionally trying to mislead/ruin the show for people, or is an idiot. I'm hoping it's the former because otherwise I pity the other scientists who apparently have to work for him.

I'm another vote for someone tampering with his belt: Mikasa wants to protect him, but I don't think she'd ever hurt him by intentionally challenging his dream; dude that's lusting after Mikasa has more potential as he seems to be the one wearing the demon hat.

And how did the Seargeant know Eren's mother?? Mystery inside mystery with AoT...

Also I really didn't understand the last line when Mikasa says Eren is just happy they won't be separated: was that extreme delusion or something? I realise I have to go re-watch this...
