Why didn't you get a flip phone then? Personally, I like the phones that slide more than the ones that flip. I have a Nokia Lumia 920, but oddly enough I only use it to call or surf the web (and I like messing with the settings); I ratherly text, I dislike texting - I only do it for school or other important matters..

Well, I got my smartphone in a contest, so I was like "HELL YEAH!" and started using it right away. Plus, most phones I see nowadays are either sliders or full touch screen devices. It's almost like flips are a last resort for people now....

But yeah... It's sad, actually.... I love the amount of things that can be done with modern tech, but then there's always a part of me that will always love the way "older" technology was... (It's kinda odd to refer to things that are around 10 years old that way. >_>) *sigh* I guess it's just evolution...

As much as I'd love to put a strap on my brick, I highly doubt that they're compatible. Just thinking about all the potential scratching from a strap gives me goosebumps.
It might very well be a test, as you suggested. I just don't see it going anywhere.

Concerning the smartphones with charm straps topic, I personally ordered the strap connectors for smartphones from japan for use with my iphone. They are little plugs that fit into the headphone port and have a loop to put your charm straps through. They sell them on sites like Strapya World and such. There are also non-dangling charms that are very popular in japan that plug into the headphone port on smartphones (many are characters who "sit" on the top of your phone).

I used to have a flip phone about 5 years ago that I really liked. It worked like a normal flip phone, but when you opened it up you could twist it and then fold it down to make it like a full featured camera. That was a pretty awesome phone and really stood out from the crowd. People definitely noticed it too.

Do they still make it (or any updated variation of it)?

There's similar phones out there that have been put out by Samsung over the years. FYI, it was the Samsung SCH-B490.

I don't know if there's any other modern phones that are like that and can twist into a camera, but Samsung is the main manufacturer whom would be making them if there are.

No problem XD They have a lot of awesome stuff on there too :3

And yes, I love my H games <3 Too many going on at the moment though (was playing Pure Pure until I realized it wasn't completely patched yet and now I am using my minimum knowledge of japanese to slowly read through it) XD

in japanese culture flip phones are whats trendy. my family recently pcs'd there and they were surprised by how many flip phones everyone had my little sister who had the latest iphone threw a hissy fit and made my mom buy her one of the trendy flip phones they are actually really nice but i don't think they are super cheap however they do everything the smart phones do such as camera chat and voice to text. i think it is so prevalent in anime because it is what the kids have over there.

I don't know why but because of those animes with Flip Phones, I became a huge fan of it. And I actually dreamed of having one someday. Lol
