Without a doubt, the most popular mobile OS's right now are the iPhone and Android OS's, but there are others out there like Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and a whole bunch more (with new ones like the Ubuntu OS coming out later this year).

With that in mind, what kind of phone OS are you using and why did you pick it? Since, as far as smartphones go, most of the features are in the software these days.

I went from being a Blackberry user for 6 years to a Android user recently when I picked up the Nexus 4. It was a major leap ahead for me and I'm really glad I went with this phone over other options available. The reason I picked the Android platform was because of the apps and the ability to customize pretty much everything. I love that I was able to get the Nexus 4 directly from Google, 100% unlocked, and at about half the cost of other phones in the market with similar specs.

Telepathic phones sure are fancy!

I have an android. I like the UI and stuff better. Its far more capable than an iPhone or whatever.

I currently use Android 2.3.6 (Samsung Galaxy Ace II); I prefer iOS but don't earn enough to afford an iPhone... Actually, I am just a poor money saver.

Android Cyanogen 2.3.7 wish you could upgrade to the latest version right away, but other than that its amazing because you can pretty much do whatever you want with it.

Sure, it's fancy alright but I get no signal no matter where I am! Worst service ever.

It's actually refreshing to see posts like this because it's so common in our society for people to try and buy things they can't afford due to subsidizing and 2 year contracts. I saved up for my phone and it's a really nice feeling to have the freedom that comes with that. Try saving up for your next phone. It's really worth it!

I have a Motorola Atrix running Android 2.3.7. I think Apple products are aesthetically pleasing to the eye (and I LOVE that they update all their phones), but I'm not that fond of iOS. I'll be sticking with Android or maybe Ubuntu when it's out. I'm just waiting to upgrade to a phone that I think will be worth it.
